Joe and Becky are wonderful pet sitters! They arrived before we departed so that we could show them around in person and answer any questions. They took great care of our pets and we came home to happy animals and a spotless house! They communicated during the stay with texts and photos, they enjoyed exploring Mount Dora and the neighborhood. We would highly recommend them and would love to have them back!
A fabulous visit to Chiswick over Christmas to sit for Ollie and Nino. They’re super easy to care for and love affection once they get to know you. Nino does like to play which is adorable and he is very entertaining. Jono and Robyn were great and so welcoming. Told me everything we need. The flat is fabulous and was super tidy and had all we need. Chiswick high street just a short walk away and such a cool place to live. Just a couple of minutes walk to the tube too. Thank you Jono and Robyn! Loved my time there!
Absolutely loved looking after Skye, Maple & Clover! Skye was the best adventure buddy & so well-behaved. We had such a fun time getting out & about. I’ll certainly miss having her around! The kittens were so fun to hang out & play with as well! Richard and his family were most welcoming & so kind. They have such a nice setup for pets & humans alike.
Housesitting for Sue and Lee and looking after their labradoodle, Bear, was wonderful! Yvonne and I agreed that it was with out a doubt one our favorite housesitting experiences. We have quite a bit of experience so that’s saying something! Bear is the best! He’s very sweet and loving and also well behaved and playful. We grew very close to him during our longer stay in his home and he will always have a special place in our hearts. Their were many wonderful options for dog walks near by and some our favorites were accessible from the front door. And the Portland area has everything one could want. Being experienced house sitters, Yvonne and I understand how important clear communication and instructions for care are when enter a housesitting agreement. We feel like Sue and Lee went above and beyond. From our first conversation with Sue and throughout our stay the communication was always clear leaving nothing to worry about. Sue also took it upon her self to put together binder full of all the information we could possibly need. We felt warmly welcomed when we met Sue and Lee before they left on their adventure, and enjoyed hearing about what they had been up to throughout their trip with regular updates and photos. Their house was comfortable and cozy and we always felt at home. We can highly recommend Sue and Lee as great Hosts and we feel like anyone would be lucky to look after Bear while housesitting for them! We certainly hope to have the the opportunity to house sit for them again! Arlo and Yvonne
Being the first to sit for someone through THS can be a gamble but Kristy and Deva weren't new to having sitters and were great at communicating expectations for the sit so I felt very comfortable accepting their offer. Once connected, they were so welcoming, kind, easy going while also being communicative throughout the whole process and sit. Not to mention they have a beautiful apartment in the most convenient area of Brooklyn (trust me I lived in BK for 6+ years) where they insisted I make myself at home and quickly felt at home. Hades is an adorable, sweet boy with some goofy quirks. As Kristy mentions he is also an old and anxious pup who will have moments of high anxiety (mostly in the evenings) when he barks at what seems like nothing or just seems a bit restless and unable to sit still. His medication, which he takes easily when hidden in a ball of food) does help with that, though in my opinion still requires some extra patience from someone with experience with anxious pups because even after he was feeling cozy with me he still had his moments. Aside from that he sleeps A LOT and does like to just be in your company either laying by the desk while you work or on the couch while you watch TV. He whines to quietly wake you up to go outside around 7am so no alarm needed, lol. His walks/potty breaks are short and to the point and he pretty much ignores anyone else while outside. He LOVES his treats, especially his daily dose of Greenies. For a slow old boy he will show you his youthful side every now and again and it just warms your heart! As long as you are cool with anxious dogs I definitely recommend this sit!
Dave and I had a wonderful, relaxing retreat in Jon's beautiful home! Madi is truly a treasure and I miss her already! She welcomes lots of snuggles and her cues are easy to follow. Jon was easy to communicate with, providing excellent instructions, and he gave us a thorough tour of the house before he left. We had a wonderful time exploring the nearby towns and hiking trails. Highly recommend this sit! Thanks, Jon!
I had a wonderful time cat-sitting for Cila and her motley crew! If you love cats, then this is the house-sit for you! Although I was only there for a few days I grew very fond of them all. Expect to be entertained and whatever you don't leave your bread unattended! One cat has an insatiable appetite for fresh baguettes! The bed there was super comfy and I slept like a baby with a kitten curled up at the end of it. Xativa is also a beautiful old Spanish town with plenty to see. I walked to the castle and back from the house and explored the various hiking trials which literally start on your doorstep. I couldn't have been happier having a break from the city and getting in touch with nature. It is a very quiet and peaceful area to stay in. I can't recommend it enough!
