Matt & Lisa's home is amazing with everything you need for a long stay. There is a pool and large garden for Pickle to explore. In winter the heating is the log burners so keep a fire going! Views around here are amazing and loads of walks for hiking. Recommend having a car as the chalet is near the top of a mountain. Down the hill there is a town with bakery and shops. Around a 15 min drive to supermarkets so close enough to amenities. For days out there's Geneva under an hour away and Chamonix about 2 hours out. Plenty to explore! Pickle is a really relaxed, easygoing dog. He likes to explore the meadow and was really good with both people and dogs in my experience! He's also good in the car, just remember water as he's thirsty! I recommend this sit definitely!
Jacquie and Mick are super friendly and absolutely lovely, their home was very clean and comfortable, and the animals (Gary, Lexi and Kevin) are all completely adorable! Thanks again guys, had a great time!
Helen and Richard's home was beautiful, spacious and extremely comfortable, with everything we needed to make our stay perfect. Sophie their elderly, arthritic Labrador was a darling. She was so gentle and loving and enjoyed her twice daily relaxed toddle down the lane, often accompanied by her housemate the gorgeous Thomas pusstat. Helen left great, clear, concise information, that made it very easy to follow Sophie and Thomas' daily routine. We would be happy to look after Sophie and Thomas again, if asked and would highly recommend this sit.
Truly an excellent sit! Sniffer the cat is charming and fun, the house is beautiful and well-appointed and Port Dover has lots to do: bike trails, beaches, provincial parks, wonderful craft breweries, wineries, golf courses and great places to eat. The neighbours are fantastic too. Karen and Murray are great hosts and quick to answer questions. Highly recommended!
Super clean. Super organized. Adorable dogs. Great communication. Good neighborhood for walking and plenty of restaurants to choose from nearby. What more could you ask for? This was our favorite sit out of multiple sits in summer 2022. If you're invited, count yourself lucky, and accept the invitation.
Willow is the sweetest dog ever. She loves being around people and is very loving. I miss her already. She minds well, and comes when called, so I always felt comfortable letting her off the leash within the enclosed yard, knowing it wouldn't be a problem when it was time to come inside. On longer hikes, she is on the leash, but seems very comfortable with it. She never tugs. Esther and Steve are wonderful people, and Esther prepared an entire manual for Willow and the house, which i found very helpful. But really, everything was very easy. Willow is a joy. The house is beautiful and comfortable. And the access to hiking trails directly from the yard is a huge bonus. Highly recommended.
