This was a thoroughly excellent housesit situated within the New Forest National Park, Hampshire. Judy was incredibly welcoming and her wonderful spacious home was an absolute pleasure to look after. Our bedroom was very comfortable and our bathroom was excellent - as were the kitchen, dining area and sitting room. The outdoor dining and sitting furniture, use of the BBQ, large garden and picturesque rural surroundings made for an outstanding summer stay. Communications with Judy were excellent throughout. Sitters need their own transport for this remote (in terms of public transport) housesit. Cars can be easily accommodated on the driveway, which has ample parking space. The house is very well-equipped and the well-appointed kitchen comes with an Aga, which makes cooking an absolute delight. Fordingbridge, Ringwood and Salisbury are all within easy reach by car and offer a wide selection of supermarkets and other local amenities. Judy's two Labradors, Harry and Juno, were an absolute pleasure to look after. Their feeding instructions and Harry’s medication requirements were well laid out and easy to follow. Both dogs were wonderful company and were always well-behaved, both at home and during their walks in the local area. Regarding walks, Juno was kept on a lead as he can be triggered by the sight of a deer, of which there are many. However, with the lead fitted, his reaction was limited to attentive staring. Judy's property is close to Ashley Walk - a popular medium length New Forest walk comprising a mixture of open heathland and ancient woodland. To have all this on one’s doorstep was just incredible. In summary, this was an excellent housesitting experience in all respects and we would love to be considered for any future sitting requirements that Judy may have. Unreservedly recommended.
