Cary, Nelly and Bella were so wonderful to sit for. We arrived a few days before the sit to get used to Bella’s routine and Cary gave us a tour of the area and made sure we had everything we needed. As well as taking us through everything personally, they are very organised and provided a list of everything we needed to refer to. It was comprehensive but easy to follow. We really enjoyed our time with them and if Cary offers to cook for you, just say yes! He makes a fantastic Pozole. Their home is lovely - fresh water from the tap, a swimming pool, relaxing couches, a great expresso machine, AC, a Palapa with a great view of the city, and easy access to Sayulita but the real treat is Bella! She is smart and will let you know when she wants something. She got a little sad when Cary and Nelly left initially - so be prepared for that. Addison suggests you give her a pat, or rub her belly, a few times a day; she will warm up to you in no time. We will miss playing fetch with her. She's got skills! And the way she trots back with the ball is so cute to see. She gets frightened when there is a lightning storm. Rubbing her belly, and behind her ears, worked for us. Also turning on the sound machine to drown out the noise helps a lot. Overall, Bella is easy to manage and the cutest thing you’ll see, you just need to invest a bit of time to get her to love you. Or, you can pamper her with brushes and a grooming glove! She will love you after that. We can’t thank Cary & Nelly enough for trusting us with their home and baby, they are truly the ultimate hosts and we hope we get a chance to come back to see them and Bella again in the future.
I had a great time watching Ragnar and Cato! Ragnar will stay to herself but still be nearby. When you come home from being away she does the cutest little wiggle waiting for you to open the gate. Cato is great and will want to be as close to you as he can. He still has that puppy energy but gets it out playing with his sister. Kim and Steve set me up for success with detailed information about both pups and the house. Their home is comfortable with a dedicated guest room and desk to do work. Their outdoor space is also great! I would absolutely recommend this sit if you have the chance!
