Hannah’s house was gorgeous & very well located for public transport. Jazzy was a very cute and quirky boy. Very easy to care for & cuddly when he chooses lol. Hannah gave us great instructions and was good with communication during our stay. We would happily mind Jazzy again.
Jan and her husband were great to communicate with. They made sure I had everything I needed to be comfortable in their lovely home and I was able to use their nearby amenities of the clubhouse gym and pool that was wonderful. Louie was attached to me the whole week and we had fun playing and walking in the beautiful area. He is a sweet one, I love him so much. Would be happy to watch him again anytime. 🙂
PJ and the tortoise duo (Buffalo and Ranch) were such fun to take care of and sit with this last weekend. Besides being an exceptionally well-trained dog, PJ is a snuggle master with ears like bat wings. He was a warm and loving buddy all weekend, and the tortoises basked in the sunshine when it cut through the back door. All in all, a wonderful sit, lots of backyard space, terrific neighborhood and wonderful hosts (Will and Andy).
These guys really misuse and abuse the platform. I arrived at time, on the day appointed. First they seemed very nice and interested. Then they presented me a contract. What I signed later, not feeling good about it. The first days we were together and all seemed oké, but they were very picky about everything. It resulted in them leaving to their house in Portugal, taking their 3 dogs with them, and leaving me on their estate in France alone. Then they told me to water the whole garden (which is as big as minimum of 5 footballfields) by hand, shutting the whole garden watering system off. As I asked for a sprinkler, they kept on replying 'keep on watering by hand, keep on watering by hand, keep on watering by hand'. That summer it was about 35 - 42 degrees Celsius, so terrible hot. It resulted for me for some days starting to water the gardens at 7.30am and ending at 22.30pm, when it was dark (excl. some hours during the day, when it was too hot to water the plants). I regularly called Trustedhoussitters and they were luckely backing me up. They told me to leave the sit, as this is not appropriate. I did not right away, 'cause I felt responsible (what I officially was not, 'cause there was only spoken about responsibilities for the dogs and not one single word about watering gardens by hand this big, under these temperatures, with a hose). I was really dissapointed in them and left earlier then the two months assigned for (after 6 weeks) and they could arrange a new sitter. I felt really misused and abused and hopefully this will NEVER repeat itself for any sitter of this platform or elsewhere.
Jess and Andrew's cottage is in a great part of the world and is truly lovely, it is very well maintained and cosy and we immediately felt at home. We were welcomed very warmly on arrival and Jess and Andrew invested time in introducing our family to Dezzy which is really helpful when travelling with little ones. Dezzy is a lovely cat and having his company was a real treat for us. Our two and a half year old was really taken with him and enjoyed playing with Dezzy and his many toys which was a joy to watch! We really enjoyed our stay, visiting the many cafes and coffee shops in the area and enjoying use of the shared green outside the cottage and would highly recommend this sit. We would welcome the opportunity to return. Thank you, Heather, Mark, Emilio and Rorie.
Anne was welcoming and helpful and gave very good instructions Truffle is a very sweet natured dog and we loved our time spent with her in their cosy home and beautiful garden.
