It was a pleasure to look after Frankie for one day, and I can only echo back the previous reviews that Frankie is sweet, cute, independent and playful once he warms up. I have noticed how happy he was about the freedom to come and go as he pleases. Richard was very communicative, welcoming and incredibly proactive in providing all the information needed. I was local when I applied for the sit and meeting Richard before the sit was helpful for orientation. The living room is perfectly set up for getting some work done and of course, it was super convenient that Aldi was only 3 minutes away. Thank you for having me.
We had a wonderful time in Kuttolsheim. Caroline and Patrick are very hospitable, making sure all our needs were met. Lilly stole our hearts, she is a gentle, cheerful and well behaved family dog. The walks in the area became even better with her. She even made our son a little more excited about hiking, thanks Lilly! She was the cherry on the cake. We went home feeling well rested and relaxed. All together a wonderful place ♡♡♡
This was by far my most favorite sit of all time. Mike and Julie are a fantastic couple that were so friendly and generous, funny and sweet, wonderful people. I felt very appreciated and loved their warm hospitality. They were clear in their communication and left a great guide with detailed information. They were always available and prompt with any questions I had. They took me around on the golf cart to show me the gorgeous resort of Sandestin, which was so much fun. I may never go anywhere in FL except to Sandestin now. The beaches are spectacular and you can travel by golf cart anywhere. Grocery store, great shopping, nice restaurants all were five minutes away and the beautiful pure white sand beaches only 10 minutes away by cart. I was able to play Pickleball only a block over, next to the beautiful wharf. Fun area of Baytowne is only two blocks away. Everything was so easy to get to. Great walking areas for the pups, that I enjoyed as much as they did. The home is meticulously clean, beautifully decorated with an upscale contemporary beach vibe. Very tastefully decorated and stocked with everything you could possibly ask for. The location cannot be beat, central to everything yet quiet and peaceful. Great screened in porch for quiet reflection and reading. I just could go on and on about how perfect everything was. Finally now to the stars of the show, the 3 amigos Lulu, Bob and Cleo. You would think three pups would be a lot of work but it was not at all. They are all so full of character and so different, it was hilarious watching them. Bob and Cleo are your best buds from the very start and extremely low maintenance. They appreciate scratches and cuddles. Cleo loves ball play, so loving, gentle, sweet and fun. Bob mostly loves to sleep but does appreciate lots of belly rubs, a real sweetheart that will woo you. Little Miss Lulu needed a day to mourn her beloved mother leaving. If you give her space for a day or so, she will quickly adopt you as her temporary fill in parent, then she will never leave your side. Be patient and kind, let her come to you and it will be so worth the wait. She is the cutest, sweetest little cuddle bug that does an impressive adorable Meerkat impression. She loves to sleep with you and burrow under the covers next to you. Her cuddles are the best. I adore and miss this whole family already. I very highly recommend this sit but only if I am not available. 😆 Thanks Julie and Mike for inviting me in and letting me so thoroughly enjoy your wonderful fur family and home. We really enjoyed spending time with Wilson who is such a lovely natured dog, very well trained, affectionate and loves his belly rubs. He is great out on walks, calm on the lead, loves to chase balls and play once off the lead. Simon left us a welcome guide with useful instructions and maps to walk Wilson. We also visited a local farm, Park Meadow and the University parks in Oxford where he enjoyed meeting other dogs and fetching balls. He is so well behaved, no trouble at all. The house was comfortable with a beautiful large garden that had deer visiting. Plenty of space to play fetch with Wilson. A lovely sit, we miss Wilson already!
Our housesit for David and Becca was wonderful from start to finish. They warmly welcomed us, showed us around, and shared great local recommendations. We enjoyed exploring the neighborhood of Fishtown that has tons of restaurants, bars, and breweries. Joe’s Steaks and Soda Shop is just a few blocks away if you’re looking to try a fantastic Philly cheesesteak while you’re in town, and Weckerly’s Ice Cream is a wonderful spot for sweet treats! Their pets—Maha, Heidi, and Tiger—were delightful to care for, each with their own charming personality. Walking the dogs Maha and Heidi around the neighborhood was a highlight and watching TV with them in the living room was a relaxing way to end the day. Tiger, the cat, is sweet and shy but would sometimes grace us with his presence and keep us company while we worked at the desk. David and Becca were thoughtful and communicative hosts, ensuring we had everything we needed for the sit. We highly recommend housesitting for them to anyone looking for a great experience in this vibrant part of the city!
Sitting for Sarah was so fun and EASY. Sarah leaves clear but uncomplicated instructions. She is laidback. Her home is bohemian and beautiful. Her garden is a little oasis. If you sit for her you might not even want to venture out. You will feel at home. Panther is friendly and chill. Loki is a curious and playful kitten - cautious at first - but once he warms up you will not find a kitten anywhere who wants to snuggle the way he does. He is precious. Wizard is a man of mystery. He always knows when it’s dinner time. Eats his chow and peaces out. All three cats have difference personalities. Sort of something for everyone. We’d love to care for them again! 5 thumbs up! Local recommendation: Jim’s Café for brunch, Krapow E5 for Thai, and The Cock Tavern for brews, and Hackney Marsh or Mabley Green for greenspace and fresh air.
