Stacie stepped in rather at the last minute when another sitter was ill, and for that we were very grateful. We liked her very much from the first phone call, she is a gentle person and seemed just right for our nervous dog. Our feeling was right - we came home to a calm and content doggie, she and Zac had had great excursions together, and good quiet times too. We also came home to the tidiest house yet - she'd remembered where almost everything lived so there was not even that transition of finding things in slightly different drawers that usually happens! She communicated when she was unsure of something - such as the powercut on her first hour in our house, which she handled calmly until the power came on again (fortunately within an hour or so), and was otherwise self sufficient. We would recommend her highly and would happily book her again.
Chris impressed us during our first FaceTime meeting. He was very enthusiastic and for lack of a better word, he "charmed" us with his kindness and energy. We'd already mentally accepted a previous candidate, but we saw a win-win with Chris for what he was looking for and what we needed. When we arrived home one week later, we looked around to see signs that Chris stayed at our home. We know he did because our Ring doorbell pinged us. Our home was as neat as we left it. Chris, being an avid bicycle mechanic, even "fixed" the dropper seatpost on one of our bikes (we happened to mention we had an issue - thank you Chris!). And not to overlook the primary reason we needed Chris and that is, he lovingly cared for our pets, a 13-year-old cat and 11-year-old dog. Both received the attention and care they needed. We highly recommend Chris and we would have him again.
