Karen is a thoughtful, kind, and salt-of-the-earth animal lover! Our animals, Dee Dee (pit-hound mix) and Picasso (zesty kitty) LOVED hanging with Karen while we were away for a couple nights in June! Karen sent us the most adorable and thoughtful animal updates so we knew they were in good hands and being cared for in the best way possible. Karen even made a toy for Picasso out of her quilting scraps that he loves! If you're looking for someone you can trust in your home who is awesome with your pets, you've found your gal!

Becca was a brilliant house and cat sitter. Titus and Maribel were clearly very relaxed under her care and, much to our dismay, barely noticed when we came back home! The house was left impeccably clean as well. Every day Becca sent us photos and a little message, which is very reassuring when away. Jessica was a great dog- and house-sitter. She made sure to know and understand the expectations and routines, which put our minds at ease (we’re always worried about leaving the dogs!) It was nice to meet with her for a short while before we left to do a smooth handoff and get to know her a bit. She even sent cute pictures of the dogs that showed how well she was caring for them (for example, pics of them tucked into blankets on the couch next to her) We certainly hope she had as nice and easy a time sitting for us as we had hosting her, because we’d love to have her back!

Jim and Laurie were excellent caretakers of my dog Qigong--they walked and played with her and she really enjoyed their company. My house was clean and my dog was happy when I returned home! This was the first time using TH and Jim and Laurie are trustworthy ambassadors!

This was Bonnie's 2nd pet sit for Scout and she was just as trustworthy and reliable as the 1st time. Bonnie was organized and on top of every need Scout had. If she had a question, she didn't hesitate to contact us. It was great receiving the frequent photos of their activities. She and Peggy took Scout out for walks and exercise frequently. The house was spotless when we returned home. We'd gladly have them come take care of Scout anytime!

William

William was wonderful, he took great care of Tucker and our house. He even put together some furniture we had, which was most appreciated. Tucker had a medical issue and William took good care of Tucker, contacting the Vet and kept in touch with us. We felt confident he was in good hands and we didn’t need to worry. When we got home Tucker was happy and the house immaculate. We would absolutely have William stay with Tucker again!

Dena & Noah

Dena and Noah were some of the most thoughtful, interesting, responsive and organized housesitters we’ve had. They were quick to get on a zoom call when I first reached out to them, asked helpful questions, shared information about themselves and scheduled a walk through a day before the sit began. They took great care of our pets, communicated regularly with updates and sweet pics and videos and left the house as clean as they found it. We had scheduled for them to do a second sit a few days after the first one ended which we unfortunately had to cancel due to my partner’s health. Dena and Noah were understanding of it and swung right into action to explore alternatives. I couldn’t recommend them more highly!

Amanda

Anytime Maine gives you snowfall, it's time to make snow angels. So that's what Amanda and family did during the surprise, end-of-season storm that came while we were away. We came home to a happy pup and a house that was spic and span. My advice: Book Amanda if you can!

I would leave 10 stars if I could! Giorgio and Federica are warm and wonderful people who really love animals. We were so grateful to find them and to have the privilege of them taking care of our pups.  Our dogs can be challenging at times with their anxiety, but Giorgio and Federica took it in stride and settled right in, which meant that the dogs did too.  They came in a night early to meet us and the dogs, and we were all present the next day when I left. They did the same on the way out, which meant that there was no time when our dogs were alone.  This is very generous of G&F and greatly appreciated.  They also sent us regular picture updates, which warmed our hearts.  Finally, they were exemplary houseguests, and left the house even cleaner than when they arrived! We cannot thank them enough and would be delighted to have them take care of our pups (and our home) again.  Grazie mille, Giorgio & Federica!

Steve and Jean were fantastic house sitters. Steve was great at communicating prior to the sit and they were punctual and organised during the handover. We had a lovely dinner together the first night which I (a non cook) was going to prepare, but I was running behind on time and Jean stepped into the breach and made a far far better job of it in a strange kitchen at 30 minutes notice than I could ever have done!

They are a delightful couple, and looked after our two spaniels beautifully, who were very contented and happy when we returned. Lots of walks and cuddles, and we were sent photos every day showing their activities. In fact, it's no exaggeration to say that the dogs adored them! The house was spotless on our return and Jean cooked Mike a delicious meal when he got back and then left a quiche for our lunch.

Five stars is not enough for this super couple.
