Cat lovers will fall instantly in love with little Ivy. An elegant, graceful, playful and extremely accepting puss who will offers her belly for a rub instantly. She was an affectionate companion. The sound of the little bell on her collar will fill you with joy, because you know she's approaching. A real joy and easy to look after. The house is comfortable and located in a very friendly street where people will always stop to chat. The park is a mere 100 yards away. Lake, Tennis courts, children's play area skate ramps, little cafe... Everything is there for a fantastic sit and 'watch the world go' by experience. The high street can be reached the other side. Buses within easy reach for non car drivers. Communication with Liane was easy. Showed me around the comfortable, fully equipped home before heading off. I would highly recommend this sit and would happily return given the opportunity. Thank you to Liane, Nik, Elliot and my new feline friend - Ivy. x.
I had a lovely stay at Seema's. The location is perfect for a Catskills getaway. It feels like you're away from it all - especially at night when the sky is inky black and there are a million stars. It's a big, old house that Seema's transforming with art, color and comfy furnishings. I had my choice of two comfortable guest rooms. It's close to many trails and not too far from good places to eat (Phoenicia Diner and Woodstock Brewing) and a great coffee shop (Maeve's Place). The pets are sweethearts. Willoughby is a big, bumbly guy. He just wants to hang out - or wander the yard sniffing every smell. He'd lay on the bed while I worked and look at me with his big brown eyes. He does tend to bark at noises outside but if I asked him to go lay down somewhere else when I had a Zoom meeting, he'd saunter off to Seema's room without coaxing or cajoling. Similarly, on walks he was easily redirected. He's also very cute with the kitties - especially Ursla. Ursla is the tiniest kitty I've ever seen. She was shy at first but by the second night she was curled up sleeping with me and hung around while I worked going from desk to lap, to windowsill. Percy is also a snuggler. He was happy to show me his belly soon after meeting. He can be a little bossy with Ursla but in the way cats sometimes are with each other - a little chasing and a few minutes later they are best friends.
Sitting at Dane and Riley’s house was lovely, very welcoming, everything was great and felt like home. Joey and Sawyer were so sweet, I really enjoyed spending time with them and going for walks. The house and the location is beautiful, was great for a getaway. I would love to come back. Thank you guys for everything! Was a pleasure to stay at your house and take care of the dogs.
We had a great time caring for Batey and Schubert for almost a month. We met Michael and Tanya prior to the sit and they were very kind and easy going. They were always in reach and made sure we did not run out of any supplies. Batey and Schubert are larger dogs but are very well trained. They were easy to bike or walk with as they were very responsive when off-leash. They definitely get dirty though, so would recommend this sit to those that are comfortable with getting outside and all that entails! Michael and Tanya’s house backs right up to trails so it was very easy to get Batey and Schubert plenty of exercise. The home was easy to care for and in a great area of Bend. We enjoyed our stay and would love to come back in the future!
