Deirdre
I had a lovely time looking after Tabasco for a week in June! Deirdre and Coral are incredibly friendly, welcoming and relaxed and made me feel right at home. They were also very responsive to any questions. Tabasco is an independent cat and spent a lot of time outside as it was summer, so it was a very easy job in terms of catsitting! The house is very cool and quirky and they have a great little garden out the back which was so nice to sit and relax in. I was there working on my thesis for the week and found the office perfect for working in. The Hackney area is also really lovely, with Victoria Park right on the doorstep and lots of fun restaurants, bars, cafes close by. Would definitely recommend for a relaxed catsit/working holiday!

Hillary
Hillary and Pranavs home was the perfect way to have some quiet time with a very cute kitty. Nestled in the southwest suburbs of Boston, it was exactly what I was looking for after 4 months abroad in the UK. Right from the get-go, the communication was excellent, which is so important for a successful sit. Hillary provided me with all the information that was pertinent to Pixies care. I arrived early in the evening before they departed so we could go over the routine.

Pixie is a very pretty girl with her beautiful Torbie coat and polydactyl feet ( extra toes) but it took a bit of time for her to warm up, but once she did she was very clear with her wishes and chatting away. She's a very sensitive kitty for sure, and I could tell she was missing her parents, but a little time helped. She's quite the pampered princess, which, of course, she deserves. So, if you're looking for a quiet getaway in the suburbs of Boston, I definitely recommend this sit. It's just a short commute to Boston Harbor's other commuter train if you're not driving. Downtown Dedham is nearby with some eateries and quaint coffee houses if you prefer to stay in the neighborhood. Overall, I really enjoyed this sit and spending time with Miss.. Pixie.

Jan
Jan's house was very clean and thoughtfully prepared for us. This is the best situation we have experienced regarding space for us to move our things into. We had almost an entire closet with drawers to unpack and settle in for 6 weeks, there was plenty of fridge and freezer space, and even several empty cupboards where we could put our pantry items. Even the garage was spacious and clean, so plenty of room to keep our bikes and car. The big yard was freshly mowed and the gardens were put to bed for winter.

Jan's boys, Pip and Thomas, welcome attention and Thomas, especially, loves to be cuddled. They are best buddies and sleep, play, and occasionally spat (and quickly make up), as cats do. They are used to sleeping on their own after their late evening meal so we were able to get a good night's sleep. The boys are early (vocal) risers and announce their breakfast time outside the bedroom door. They got used to joining us for coffee in bed, which was a sweet way to start the day.

Communication was great throughout the sit and we had clear instructions for the cat and house routines. This was a really great sit--we look forward to seeing "our" boys again for a future sit.

All three cats love to be in the same area as you and jo-jo is the main one to join you for a bath: she loves water. Chula will tell you when she’s hungry and will come to you if she want to be petted. Lucky is mostly MIA doing its own thing in the house. The area is gorgeous and very relaxing. Owners are super supportive and interactive. Thank you.

Dan
Miss Lucy, Ollie, and Rey were a delight to look after. ML is the boss of the show and lives life on her terms. She is interactive and friendly, if not quite a lap cat. Ollie and Rey are more shy, but super sweet and warmed up during my sit. By the end the three of them were either napping together on their various cozy perches or zooming around the house after one another.

Dan's house is great- it is a lovely bright base which I used to work and explore Berkeley a bit. They have an absolutely beautiful garden and graciously offered fresh blueberries and lemons. Dan communicated clearly before and during the sit, about the house, logistics and cats. He also clearly cared that my experience was great and that I could enjoy Berkeley as much as they do.

I recommend sitting for Dan and would do it again in the future.

James and Jo A
Milo and I missed Sophie already! She was such a sweetheart. James and Jo had a very beautiful home in a nice neighborhood. I took Milo and Sophie for the run everyday and they absolutely loved it. They were the best buddies while the stay and spent a lot of time playing with each other.

It was my first housesitting so I didn't have anything else to compare however I was puzzled when James and Jo notified me that they were going to stay one more night before going on the trip. I didn't know if it was a normal thing but it would have been nice to know about it in advance.

There were some odd things happened in the house although I did not communicate with the hosts but I suspected that other people have access to the house while I was staying there. It did give me uneasy feeling however it is a very safe neighborhood. The neighbors know the dog well so I trust that nothing bad would happen while staying there.
