My mother's and my stay at Jude and Pete's was wonderful from start to finish. Jude and Pete are lovely people -- when we met them in person, we felt like we were reconnecting with old friends, not meeting new ones. They very generously treated us to a delicious dinner upon our arrival, and we thoroughly enjoyed the conversation and laughter we all shared. Their dog Fleure is a little bundle of joy and energy who is happy to play and chase her ball as long as you are willing to engage with her. And their cat Daisy is a little cuddlebug who loves to go out and explore and then come home to sit in your lap or on her chair in the sun room for a bit of R&R. Jude's garden is a living masterpiece -- it was such a treat to watch seedlings grow and flowers blossom during our short stay. Jude and Pete took Fleure with them on their holiday, so we only had Daisy with us, and we became so attached to her so quickly that we wanted to take her home with us! We were very comfortable and relaxed in Jude and Pete's home, which is situated on a cul-de-sac beside a large open field, and we were treated kindly by every person we met in Gotherington as we explored the village. We went for long walks, had breakfast at the village shop, ate dinner in the local pub, grocery shopped at the nearby Tesco's, and visited National Trust sites and Cotswold villages that were all very close by. Thank you, Jude and Pete, for giving us the opportunity to stay in your home. We are still missing Daisy -- what a love she is!
I had a great time taking care of Ernie! He is such a well-behaved cutie pie! We had a great time going for walks and cuddling! ☺️ Sarah is super friendly and everything was organized perfectly.
Connie is an absolute delight to look after! She is very sweet and very easy to manage. She loves playing fetch at the nearby beach and getting evening tummy rubs, but also seemed very content relaxing by herself in the garden sun. Julie and Nick have a beautiful home which is very comfortable and well-equipped. The location near the beach is fantastic. They were extremely welcoming and friendly, and provided thorough instructions regarding Connie's care and the home in general.
This was my first experience with the THS app and It was the better than I could imagine. Santiago and Anabela are great, they were very welcoming from the start, always made me feel at home and the communication was excellent. All the guidelines were clear and I really appreciate their help to let me know everything about the house, Dante the cat and the city of Bochum. Dante is a beauty, he's well behave, affectionate at times and just very easy to take care of. And my time and conversations with the family and the most beautiful baby Emma were so cool and I enjoy it a lot. Would love to do it again and I hope to meet them in the future and finally make them that lasagna that I couldnt!
Lizzie & Sherif & their cute doggie Bou are wonderful and it was such a pleasure to stay in their beautiful home. The guest quarters is very cozy and comfortable, and the backyard is nice when taking Bou outside. The village of Stanstead Abbotts in Hertfordshire is within walking distance and has cute pubs and shops, and just a short walk to the St Margaret’s train station which I used when I took the train after my sit ended. Lizzie was so kind to show me around before she left and I enjoyed a lovely meal with Lizzie and Sherif the day I arrived. Their dog Bou is adorable and enjoys her walks, toys, and playtime. I had such a nice time and would highly recommend. 5 stars & 4 paws up!
