Susan’s house is wonderful! I was truly inspired by her decor from her incredible journeys from around the world. The location is exceptional if you’re an outdoor enthusiast! The trail for Wonderland Lake is literally right outside her door. Any shopping, eating and entertainment you’d want is all very close by. Liz was a joy to care for but is so very shy! She eventually allowed me to pet her after a few days of gentle coaxing and encouragement. She is a beautiful sweetheart who loves lounging on her chair next to the window! I’d highly recommend this sit and would be honored to care for Liz and Susan’s home anytime again!
Sandie and Tony are an amazing couple with an amazing place. We spent some time with them before and after the sit and we loved getting to know them. If you are lucky to do a house sit for them, maybe Tony will cook one of his gourmet meals for you. Their beautiful clean house is located on a hillside that has a view of the valley below. We had our own clean beautifully decorated apartment on the bottom floor with a fully functional kitchen with a living/bedroom and a sunroom. There is plenty of room to relax and watch movies on the DVD player. The apartment has a large library of DVD´s, CD´s and books for entertainment. There is even a Roomba type vacuum cleaner. The internet is good. There is a pool, but the weather was too cold for us to get in. A car is necessary since the house is a good distance from the village, Adsubia, at the bottom of the hill. The village has one of our favorite restaurants. Down the road is Pego, a larger town which has restaurants, cafes and several supermarkets. About twenty minutes away is the city of Denia on the coast with a large assortment of restaurants and cafes and also a fortress in the center of town. Valencia is 90 minutes away. And now the two main reasons for the house sit: the two black cats-Mitzi and Sultan. They were feral cats so they are a combination of aloof and skittish. It took awhile for them to warm up to us but eventually they were sleeping with us. Sultan, the big male, loved to be scratched and rubbed. We loved this house sit so much we hope to have returning house sits in the future. When we left we felt like we had made friends for life. Brenda & Rich
Clemmie was an absolute pleasure to look after and made for the sweetest, softest companion during the stay. With each day she became more and more comfortable and trusting too. Her little chirps and squeaks are adorable and though not a lap cat she will happily curl up by you and enjoy belly rubs and being fussed. Jane was so welcoming and caring. Communication was great and after Clemmie needed a little extra care after a wound that needed healing Jane was so helpful throughout. It is also so clear how much Clemmie is well loved and it’s not hard to see why! Thank you again and we would consider ourselves incredibly fortunate to be able to return to take care of Clemmie!
Coco was a great dog to hang with! She loved walks and just hanging out at the house with me while I worked! Kate left detailed instructions about everything for Coco, her house and the surrounding area! I would definitely watch Coco again!
