A wonderfully friendly, generous and welcoming family who absolutely adore their Mo! They know a cuddle monster like Mo needs to be happy in his home to get those tummy rubs anytime he stands there and asks for them. Irrisistable character, hugely entertaining and full of love. A complete emotional wrench to leave him, but I know he is loved to an inch of his life. House is super comfy with everything you could ever need, friendly neighbours, parking, walks a plenty without needing your car and a great park where Mo loves to join in with the local tai chi 'performers'
Bristol is a great place to housesit and Elizabeth's home is lovely with a stunning garden. Warm and welcoming I felt very much at home. Dora, the Main Coon cat is still young and cheeky with a distinctive personality. Easy to care for and very independent. I enjoyed my time with her.
We can't say enough about the sit at Wooton Courtenay. The countryside and hiking are wonderful and with so much variety, we were never at a loss for a new direction to explore. Of course, Kali and Mamba were such good company and made our walks so much better. All three pets loved their people time relaxing and cuddling in the evenings. Georgie and Alex are a lovely young couple,very welcoming and so easy to talk to. Unfortunately, they had to come home a bit earlier than planned but we spent a few days getting to know them and they showed us some of their favourite places in the area. The village is lovely and we were lucky enough to meet several of the neighbors who were happy to tell us about their favorite places to walk and even offered us drives to Minehead. There is only a small shop in the Village but we quickly discovered that Tesco would deliver groceries so we didn't have to go into Minehead, except to explore. This was a quiet, relaxing sit and we were at such peace there. We'd recommend this sit without hesitation.
Brigitte and David were extremely welcoming and hospitable hosts, and their home was immaculate and very well organised, as were their instructions for the following two weeks. Looking after Blanca and Leyla was a very pleasurable experience. Blanca in particular was super cuddly and loved to jump up onto my lap and be constantly stroked, while Leyla was slightly more cautious, but once she felt comfortable in my company, also enjoyed being tickled, brushed and stroked. The only small challenge was getting Blanca to eat her food and making sure that Leyla didn’t eat Blanca’s food too! Otherwise a lovely home and pet sit, and highly recommended.
Fiona and Pete made me feel very welcome when I arrived at their absolutely super home and we shared a delicious meal together the night before they set off on their trip. However, it has to be said, the star of the show was, without doubt, the very handsome Loki. We bonded quickly and I soon became putty in his paws. We enjoyed lovely countryside walks and special cuddle-buddy moments together. I really hope I get to see Loki again in the future so we can pick up where we left off. I have no hesitation in recommending this all round 5* sit to others, but only if I'm not available myself, of course 💙.
