Meredith & Eric were the perfect dog sitters/house sitters. They returned our house exactly as it was given and our dogs seem to very much miss their company. Communication prior and during the sit was perfect and we felt so comfortable with them both looking after our dogs and house while we managed to get a long overdue holiday. We recommend them both 100%. Thank you so much Meredith and Eric, we hope you continue to enjoy your tour around Scotland. Mollie & Wil
Had a lovely stay at Danielle’s place and with her dog paçoca!! Danielle was very communicative and left very clear instructions. If I needed something, she would always respond very quickly! Paçoca is such a sweet dog. She has a lot of love and energy in her ❤️ Would definitely recommend staying here! It’s next to the s-ring, so if you want to go anywhere in Berlin you’ll be there very quick. The apartment was very cozy. Loved staying here and pet sitting paçoca!
Jeremy and his family were very kind and lovely. They even provided us food and other little things for our first few days. The place itself was like a dream, its location is perfect, a 15 mins drive away from a beautiful lake called Lago di San Ruffino and 45 mins away from the Adrian sea. Audrey was the sweetest angel we have ever met, she was very easy to take care of, just make sure you give her enough treats :) It was hard for both of us to leave her behind.. We are very grateful to experience such a nice stay. Daniel & Lilly
On arrival at Val’s we were welcomed with a nice hot cup of tea/coffee and introduced to ‘Ronnie’ the black and white Pointer, what a handsome dog. We had time for a long chat with Val, before she left for her holiday and discussions were had regarding Ronnie, and his likes, dislikes, and feeding schedule, and mapped walks, also about daily contact whilst she was on holiday, ( that suited us fine) then we were shown round her 1st floor flat, it was very comfortable, the bedroom we had been allocated was roomy and had plenty of wardrobe, and drawer space for our clothes, Val was very at ease when she left Ronnie in our care, which was very re-assuring. We got on like a house on fire with Ronnie, (after a perfect nights sleep in a very comfortable bed)he proved to be a very well behaved dog and was a pleasure to look after, he also knew his routine, and prompted us if we were late, which we found quite funny, he was great to take out and accommodating to adults and children alike if they wanted to give him a fuss, and he would walk all day if that’s what we wanted, and always up for a cuddle, Ronnie is a very astute dog who is sensitive to your human feelings too, I was very sad to say goodbye to Ronnie when our time for the sit to end came around. You have a wonderful dog Val, and Adrian and I would be happy to come and sit again for Ronnie, dates permitting Thank you Val. Till next time.
Zootz and Dobby were amazing housemates for a week - they loved the outdoors and cuddles. Katie and Peter were welcoming and communicative. Their eco-friendly house was comfortable, spacious, and felt more like a cozy cabin where we could watch the deer and a flower garden in the sun room most days. Yarmouth is close to all of coastal Maine - we were able to have adventures around the beautiful area.
Heather was kind, responsive and really gracious about changes to my travel plans. Opal was a joy to sit, she was great company and I would sit again.
Well, what an absolutely wonderful time I have had looking after Mia, Ernie, Gem, Monkey, Joey and the chickens in Compton! I arrived a day before Chantal and Grant left to meet the animals and learn all the routines which was incredibly beneficial! Chantal was so kind as to pick me up (and also drop me to) the local train station. It was such a joy to spend time chatting with Chantal and Grant, just like catching up with old friends! I felt very welcome and was glad to be able to pick their brains about the area before wishing them well for their trip. The animals, where do I begin?! It is honestly, one of the friendliest bunch I have ever come across and I still miss their company! Ernie and Gem love their morning and evening walks and will not complain if you decide to walk all day. They are so well behaved and listen well off-lead. Ernie, who is deaf, responds incredibly well to hand signals and constantly watches for instruction while out and about. Both Gem and Ernie will be thankful for any and all attention you wish to supply. They were such wonderful company over these two weeks! Monkey and Joey are the friendliest, human-loving cats I have ever met! Neither of them has a shy bone in their body and often while wandering in the garden I would be accompanied by two dogs AND both cats! They will be more than happy to curl up on your lap in the evening and are quite content to do their own thing otherwise. Mia, the wonderful cob is a fabulous horse! I, unfortunately, am unable to ride at the moment, so mostly she just got her rugs changed and the occasional hoof pick. She has a wonderful temperament and I do wish I was able to take her around one of the many bridle paths as I would imagine that she would be an absolute blast to ride! The Chickens were very easy, letting in and out of their hutch morning and night, as well as out to free-range for a few hours every day. They lay some lovely eggs and come running back to their hutch when called with their favourite treat. Compton itself is a truly wonderful place to relax and enjoy. There are a neverending number of walks literally on the doorstep with absolutely stunning country views. Though I must say, with such a wonderful house and garden it was at times difficult to convince myself to leave the farm! Newbury is a short bus ride away which has everything you may need. As I do not have a car, I opted to have Sainsbury groceries delivered, which was super easy! Chantal kindly left many walking maps as well as numbers of friends and neighbours for if assistance was needed. I definitely recommend coming to care for these wonderful animals if you are given the opportunity. You won't regret it! Thanks again Chantal and Grant! Sally
