We had a wonderful time with Millie & Lottie. We were also lucky enough to spend some time with Emma, Wayne & Reece before they went on holiday and a little when they got back. They made sure we had everything we needed and answered any questions we had. Wayne was also kind enough to take us to the local dog walking spot, which made things really easy. The girls are adorable. Millie just loves a cuddle and is very well-behaved. Lottie, as she is still young, is very funny and a little mischievous. They seemed to love being with us, and the feelings were mutual. They would often play together; however, Lottie liked to go off and do her own thing, especially finding a flower or leaf from the garden to bring to you! I took them both on walks in the local area, both on and off lead, and they were very good. It helped to have some treats! Emma’s house is in a beautiful location, 20 minutes from York park & ride and 45 minutes from beaches. The large Sainsbury’s & Aldi supermarkets are in Pocklington and just over 10 minutes away, which was very convenient. The house is lovely and spacious, with large comfy beds. Alex & I enjoyed both having en-suites and TVs with Sky (in the bedrooms & lounge). There was a nice big garden with seating areas and plenty of space for the dogs to run around. Wayne has some staff who work from one of the home offices. They were very polite and helpful, looking after the dogs whilst we went out. We wouldn’t hesitate to dog sit Millie & Lottie again.
This was an exceptional sit for us. Sheila and Paul are lovely people, and their spacious, two level rancher is immaculate and incredibly well-equipped. Everything was well-organized and prepared for our arrival, and plenty of closet, fridge and cupboard space was cleared for us as well. Sheila and Paul's cat, Charlie, was aloof at first, but once we gained her trust, we were best friends. She is clean and great company. The home is located in a quiet and comfortable adult community, complete with pool, workout facility and games room. As for the larger community, the home is located midway between superb beaches on Okanagan Lake and Skaha Lake. Incredible wine-touring opportunities abound in this part of the world, particularly with the amazing wineries of nearby Naramata. We hope to return if invited!
Danika was very generous and super easy to communicate with! Aspen and Huntley were easy to watch, friendly, and had great personalities. They are well-trained and respond very well to treats. Everything we needed for the sit was provided and we had a great time in the Eagle area.
Both dogs are sweethearts. The little dog is a tad bit barky--hard to get her to settle down for long. The house is very nice and the area quiet. I did find that the dog smell inside the house was a bit off-putting to start but I got used to it.
Looking after Dottie was a lovely experience. We enjoyed walking around the area very much. She is a very energetic dog and loves playing with balls and sticks very much. The house is beautiful and is located in a peaceful countryside. I would definitely come back again:)
We really enjoyed staying at Jenny and Rob's beautiful and comfortable country home and taking care of their lovely, well behaved dogs. We got in some great walks each day and watching the dogs enjoy themselves running through the fields was fun. They were so good at coming when we whistled for them. Jerry the cat was an added bonus - so soft and friendly. Everything was explained to us on arrival and we had a lovely meal with Jenny and Rob before their departure.
