Looking after Lynn’s home and beautiful cat Charlie was an absolute pleasure and delight. Charlie is warm and very charming loving tickles especially under the chin. Lynn made us feel so very welcome and put us in contact with some of her friends in the community, who were so very helpful and supportive during our two month stay. We have definitely made new friends in Grecia and hope to see them all again one day. Lynn’s home has everything you could need, and the house has beautiful views from the garden over the valley. We weekly went to the farmers market where there is an abundance of fruits, vegetables meat and eggs which we thoroughly enjoyed. We used Uber to get around for short trips which was cheap and convenient. When we went out for day trips, we used Lynn’s driver who was again super friendly and helpful. There are several waterfalls and the Poás volcano not far away, with lots of nature and wildlife, where we had some great days out. Everyone was super friendly in this area of Costa Rica, we feel blessed to have been able to do this sit for Lynn.
My partner and I had the absolute pleasure in sitting for Linda while she was away on vacation. There are too many amazing things to say not only about Linda, but about Grace as well, so I will do my very best to include them in this review— Linda’s communication is immaculate. She was very clear and concise during our interview process, answered ALL questions with great detail, and even had a detailed binder with instructions and recommendations for our stay in SF. Even going to Ireland where there was an 8 hour time difference Linda was very responsive and always seemed genuinely happy to answer questions. The Airbnb cleaning listed in the description was straightforward and Linda even made us videos going over how to clean the bnb in its entirety. The one thing that Linda really went above and beyond to do for us, though, was creating room in her garage for us to store our belongings. We were traveling with a car full of things and were a tad bit nervous about leaving our stuff in our car parked on the street… as a response, Linda totally went out of her way to clear room in her garage for our smaller sized SUV!! I mean come on, how can you not want to sit for her after hearing that? That gesture truly took all the stress away from our stay in SF. Finally, that brings us to Grace. I wish Grace spoke English to hear this review and understand how much we LOVED her. Grace is sweet, kind, protective, playful and is easily in my list of top 5 dogs I’ve spent time with in my life. She’s everything you’d ever want in a companion. She’ll give you a run for your money sniffing for gophers at the nearby park (she’s the best at that) and then come home and be a total cuddle bug on the couch with you. We haven’t stopped talking about how much we miss Grace since we left. All in all, don’t second guess yourself on applying to sit here. You’ll feel safe, comfortable and so glad you had the opportunity to sit for Linda. We cannot recommend Linda and Grace enough and we’d love to sit for you again in the future!
I had a blast taking care of Argos and Porter! They are super great dogs and I had no problems with them at all. They were great to let off leash, super playful and energetic, and they were always friendly to other dogs. Annie and Jay left perfectly detailed instructions and if I had a question or something went wrong, it was comforting to know that I could text them. Their home is warm and inviting and I would be excited to watch these two pups again. Plus, I want to hang out with Annie and Jay because they are two really cool people.
With Peanut we have had a fantastic week in Gillian's penthouse. Peanut is such a sweet dog. Together with her we explored hidden beaches and did river and forest walks. Everyday she jumped in the car without hesitation where she sat peacefully and patiently. She is such a joy having around. We really fell a bit in love with her. As for the apartment: it is simply gorgeous. Two big balconies overlooking the Alps and the nearby Lake Zug. While enjoying these views you can cook using the big outside kitchen. But also the inside is spacious and has everything one needs and more. Right from the beginning we enjoyed being with Peanut and in Gillian's place and the 7 days passed too quickly. We will not hesitate to come back another time and therefor 5 thumbs. Thank you Gillian and Peanut for this experience.
