I really had a good time at Laura and Alex place. Benny and Dodge are really easy to care of, 2 walks a day make them really happy. Benny was still a puppy (9months) when I was there so he had a lot of energy. But he was fine playing with Dodge or by himself when I was busy working remotely. Lake Cathie is a small village, the house is behind the grocery, pharmacy, liquor store, pub, so you have everything you need close by. The beach is only 5 minutes walk away and I really enjoyed playing with the dogs in the water. Communication with the owner was easy and efficient. I recommand this sit to other sitters!
We had a wonderful pet and house sit at Steve and Michelle's very comfortable home. We felt very welcomed and Steve and Michelle left very helpful information. We stayed with Steve and Michelle the night before and they took us to dinner. We spent most of our time on a large covered back verandah overlooking the pool. There are tall trees all around with adundant bird life and great views. Their dog, Bear is an eight year old chocolate coloured labrador, appropriately named because he is a big dog. He is very intelligent and was so easy to look after and walk. He was excellent with other dogs, friendly but focused on investigating the scents he picked up. He met the neighbours and other people with a wagging tail. Our morning walk was always along the tracks which begin within a few metres of home. In the afternoon we used Steve and Michelle's car to take him to his regular nearby park where he chased his ball and interracted with other dogs. We highly recommend that sitters apply when the opportunity next presents - you will find this house sit thoroughly relaxing and get great enjoyment from Bear.
The cats are absolutely adorable. They love company and ultimately food! The cats will wake you up in the morning with cuddles and even a pat to your face. The place is a great location to beaches and the local market down the street. Great area to visit and relax.
We recently had the most incredible housesitting experience for Monique, and it was absolutely phenomenal. Monique is not just a fantastic person but also an incredibly caring and warm host. She made us feel so at home that it felt like we were staying with family. The guest bathroom and bedroom were like a luxurious beach resort – unbelievably comfortable. And then there's Shilo, Monique's furry companion. Shilo is an absolute darling – smart, well-behaved, and just the sweetest soul. She knows a plethora of commands and has this amazing patience and attentiveness that's hard to come by. The whole housesit was such a pleasure, and we can't wait to return. We're grateful for this opportunity, and feel that we found a lifelong friend in Monique ( and Shilo) . It's safe to say, our hearts are fuller after this experience.
I had a wonderful time looking after Mackie, Mouse and Sola! There was never a dull moment in this beautiful flat. Both Mackie and Mouse are very sweet and funny cats, real little personalities. They are equally happy to go off and do their own thing or to keep you company, and even chatter with you a little. If you are lucky enough to look after them, you will know what I mean! The flat is as amazing as it looks in the photos and in a great location, right by a bus stop and in easy walking distance of town, with large supermarkets very close by. Yas and Vas are wonderfully kind and were very responsive to any communication. I am very grateful for my time in Bristol and will look back on it fondly!
