Hi David and Doug, in response to your review of us staying. Firstly i want to say thanks for letting us stay and mind your lovely cats and home. Firstly i apologize if i came over a bit fussy about the blinds being blackout, sometimes i am a light sleeper and i value good sleep that why i asked. Regarding not staying at yours the night before if you remember you said it wasn't ideal that's why we booked a hotel the night before so that was a misunderstanding. When we did communicate i only responded to you asking how Barcelona was also if you look back on your whats app messages 4 of the messages were talking about the cats the first one on the 22nd of April talking about callie gradually getting use to us and how zeena is friendly and sweet and regularly comes over to be petted. Then the next message on the 23rd i spoke about Derek doing a system feeding the medication. i then sent 2 videos of callie on the 29th. I also spoke about how chilled out the cats had been on the next message and how much callie liked being groomed. About the apartment on your return,we were genuinely taken back that you said the condition of your apartment every review we've had so far has said how clean there homes have been on return, there was a small load put in the dishwasher from breakfast which were washed as we put the dishwasher on that morning before we left so how could clean knives go rusty in a day?we vacuumed the the whole house Over countertops and bathrooms were spotless.Apologies if i didnt use a coaster for the table i honestly cant remember not using one , it was probably olive oil. Apologies if everything in the kitchen wasn't put back in the exact place, but i can only remember the tea towels not been put back . Overall we had a good experience the cats were adorable we will miss them. I Believe we looked after the house to our best ability.
Such a wonderful family and wonderful pets! Loki is the absolutely best dog in the world. Eager to please and always happy to say hello and cheer you up. The bird was and turtle were wonderful as well and, combined, the house always felt bright and full of life. Wonderful pets, a wonderful family, and a very positive stay. Would highly recommend!
Taron and his dog, Doug were just perfect. Taron is really friendly, helpful and happy ! About Doug, it’s a dog with a lot of energy (walk, run, play with ball) and he loves sleep a lot too 😊 We really recommend Taron and Doug.
It was a pleasure to sit Sulis and Tatters, both of whom are lovely cats with two completely different personalities. Though shy at first, both warmed to us quickly and Sulis ended up sleeping on my wife's pillow each night which made my wife quite happy actually. Devalaya was an excellent host and communicator. She sent us lots of information before the sit and her Welcome Guide is one of the best that I've seen in all the many sits that we've done. Her home is lovely and in a quiet complex with a communal pool (too cold for us to try in Dec though but it looked nice and clean). Her garden is huge and would be a great sun trap in the summer. Though a car is not absolutely necessary, we had one which was great to getting around the local area. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and we would highly recommend it!
I really enjoyed taking care of Kaci and Willow. Kaci is a cute little love bug and love belly rubs. Willow the cat is independent but very sweet. The house is in a nice neighborhood and I felt completely safe. Karen was very nice and kept in touch with me to see how everything was going. This was a great stay and definitely would do it again.
House sitting for Juliet and John was a breeze. Ilkley is a lovely town and the house is in a great location very close to the shops and restaurants. There are numerous walks for the dogs just minutes away where you can explore the river walks and more. Juliet is very organised and the house is lovely. As for the pets, Fred and Holly were very easy to care for. Fred is a real softie and Holly who has bundles of energy is also really affectionate and loves cuddles. Both dogs love their walks and are no problem at all. We really enjoyed our stay and can’t recommend this house sit enough. Superb.
