It was an absolute pleasure looking after and getting to know Billy (the cocker spaniel). He took to us immediately and wasn't a moment's trouble. He is such a sweetheart! All he wanted was to be petted and cuddled, which we were happy to provide (in spades)! He was the perfect walking companion, happy to go at your pace. We really enjoyed exploring the area with him and all that the region has to offer. It's the perfect base for visiting the south Lakes (e.g. Kendal), the Yorkshire Dales and also the Forest of Bowland. If you're interested in beaches, the area of Silverdale is not too far away. Helen and Tim were absolutely fantastic. They were on-hand at the start of our visit to make sure we had all the info we needed. They also gave us a tour of their beautiful home, so we knew where to find everything. The village is in the heart of nature, but it's also well-connected, sitting between Skipton and Kendal. Communication was seamless and we felt we were provided with everything we needed. 5 stars!
We loved looking after Indy and Fairy at Sharon and Brett's place. The dogs were loveable and so friendly. They have a few chooks who are very self sufficient and are great to watch. Sharon's house is beautiful and has everything you would need for a comfortable stay. They made us feel very welcome as soon as we arrived, we would highly recommend house sitting for Sharon and Brett and the two pups.
Murphy, Mollie and Annie are very easy going and well behaved for any pet sitter. Max kept to himself but eventually showed his face when it was time for dinner. Lambra’s welcome guide is very thorough and covers everything one might think of to care for the gang of fur babies. I’d happily sit for this family again.
We absolutely ADORE Lucy. What a sweetheart. Pete and Chris gave us all of the information we needed to have a fabulous stay at their beautiful home. The area has everything you need and we were given great recommendations. Amazing hosts, amazing pet!! 🐱
It was such a pleasure looking after Bonnie and Clyde! I’ve never seen any Maine Coon cats before and they were stunning cats! Most nights Bonnie was cuddled up to me watching tv which was lovely! They were a bit mischievous at times but really funny with it! The house was beautiful and clean and comfortable, and close to home so if I needed anything I could pop back. Frances and Ian had invited me beforehand for a meal which was amazing and they gave me the best welcome! I can’t wait to see them again in the future and to see how much more they’ve grown! Thank you both very much!
What a wonderful sit. Martin is a charming host and made us a lovely meal which gave us time to get to know each other. Martin is very organised, really responsive and friendly. Bertie gave us a lovely welcome and was a pleasure to spend time with and great fun. Martin gave us gave us a full tour of the property and gave very good verbal instructions. We were also left with very clear written instructions about the Bertie and the house. The house was clean and very comfortable, we especially loved the beautiful garden. We very much enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this sit. We would love to sit again.
