Jean was a delight to sit for! She was friendly, welcoming, and communicative before the sit even began. I did this housesit along with my parents to introduce them to the THS process, and Jean made this the perfect "first sit" for them. She met with my mom before leaving on her cruise and left a detailed note with instructions, wifi and garage codes, etc. Gizmo, Tucker, and Roxy are too cute and were easy to care for, each of us ended up picking different "favorites" by the end of the weekend. Jean's house was beautiful inside and out, had its own office space, community lake access, and was also very convenient to various stores and restaurants and a short drive from downtown Charlotte. Would recommend this sit to anyone looking to explore the greater Charlotte area without having to deal with the craziness of downtown.
Wow wow wow!!!! We had a truly wonderful time at Tim and Corinna's looking after Spotty and Tibo! Spotty and Tibo are such characters and a source of endless entertainment! They are a very charming pair, loving but not at all demanding. Spotty is friendly and loving and an all-round perfect companion. She's well-behaved everywhere (on walks, in restaurants, with other dogs/people, in the house) and, despite not being a super young dog, she would never run out of steam, even on some intense hikes! Tibo is playful, chilled and very easy to look after. We loved our morning cuddles with Tibo in bed! Tim and Corinna were very generous hosts! They are incredibly welcoming and made us feel very comfortable. We were lucky enough to have some time to go through everything with Tim and Corinna before they left so we knew exactly what to do. Their communication was perfect, with a very clear welcome guide and always responded quickly and thoroughly to all queries before and during the sit. Tim and Corinna's home is wonderful - beautiful, wholesome and clean with everything you could possibly need for a very comfortable stay. We absolutely loved our time here and the time went by so quickly! We would particularly recommend this sit for people who like hiking - we did some phenomenal hikes in the surroundings of Gex with wonderful views. We really couldn't recommend this sit highly enough! Thank you, Tim and Corinna, we feel really spoiled and grateful that you entrusted us with your home and pets! We very much hope to keep in touch with Tim and Corinna and sincerely hope we can look after Spotty and Tibo again in the future!
It was lovely to meet Andrea, Kevin and of course Beni. They had bought in some gluten free food and snacks for me and gave me good information about Beni, the flat and the area. Beni loved to play and chase his toys. He would sleep beside you and get tummy rubs. You don't need a car as the bus service is great and there are lots of shops within walking distance. Glasgow has lots to offer for visitors with amazing galleries, museums and parks. A lovely sit with a lovely cat.
A beautiful house and stunning gardens, plenty to keep me busy. The old girl Zoe is content with a trot round the paddock and Maggie is full of energy and does love to run off! The chickens were fun. A warm house with history and mod cons. Best to be fit and not mind mud & water with local terrain.
We thoroughly enjoyed looking after Gusto, he was a really friendly and easy to handle dog. We had great fun taking him on walks and out for the day, where he enjoyed a swim. He is very good with other dogs and also enjoys snuggling up on you in the evenings. There was some incredible walks right on the doorstep, which Gusto knows very well, I'm not sure who walked who! Julian and Mary were very welcoming and their home is beautiful, I especially loved there garden which was extremely tranquil to read and chill out in. Thank you for a wonderful sit. I hope to have the pleasure of sitting for you both and Gusto again, I miss his cute face.
What an amazing time we had sitting for Jarrod and Anastasia's hobby farm! We arrived the night before our sit and were greeted by a delicious dinner. After having driven for several hours, it was much needed and appreciated. We were able to spend some time chatting and learning about the farm responsibilities. The following morning Jarrod and Anastasia went to the airport and our 7 week sit started. First off, wonderful charming and zen home. So many positive and relaxing vibes. Celina is a tiny remote town we fell in love with. It is a bit of a trip for groceries and what not, but no biggie at all. The peace and quiet was very welcomed. Sweet little Dottie is an absolutely adorable dog. I can't imagine a sweeter animal (except maybe our cute pup). She was always loving on us and playfully growling at our feet. We miss her so much, especially our son. Mia is also a loving and sweet dog. She is the farm dog who loves keeping an eye out for the homestead. We would sit on the porch and pet and play with her daily. Whenever we were working and taking care of the farm, she was right there. We took daily walks and she always kept us company. Love her! Lea and Traveler are two incredible horses. Lea was a bit shy initially, but quickly warmed up to us. Traveler is a big boy and at first intimidating, but we soon found out he's a gentle giant. Beautiful boy. Donkey is such a lovable and quirky nerd! However, he might have been our favorite. He definitely was an instigator, but was such a fun fun donkey to care for. I'm not sure who enjoyed the hugs more, him or us. Miss his mischievous personality. The duck, chickens, peacocks, and turkeys were so well behaved (except for naughty Tommy). Each morning and evening they filed in and out of the coop on time and gave us zero problems (I'm looking at you Tommy). Plenty of fresh farm eggs daily for breakfast. The goats were also fun to feed and watch. Shannon did goat yoga with them and we'd get a kick watching them run and jump all day long. We could go on and on but needless to say we had a fantastic experience. Only downside was we didn't have a chance to meet back up with Jarrod and Anastasia when we left. Our son had to be in Atlanta to leave for basic training so we were in a hurry. However, we can't say enough about the hospitality and experience we had. We left feeling like we gained two new friends with Jarrod and Anastasia. Thank you guys! Travis, Shannon, and Noah
