We had a fantastic experience house-sitting for Laurie and Daniel in Durham. Their two dogs, Buster and Saffron, were wonderful companions. Buster, though small, has a big heart and is always ready to protect you. Saffron was equally delightful and well-behaved. They also have two cats, Smoky and Tucker. Smoky is incredibly friendly and loves being petted, reminding me of my own cats. Tucker is very lovely and just needs a couple of days to get comfortable with kids. The house is amazing, equipped with all the amenities you could need. Daryn is a tech enthusiast, so the home features some impressive appliances, like a fridge that counts your water intake in ounces! The location is great too—very walkable and bikable, which made it easy to explore the area. Laurie and Daniel went from the Research Triangle to the Bermuda Triangle for a cruise vacation, and we were glad to take care of everything for them while they were away. Overall, it was a wonderful sit, and we highly recommend Laurie and Daniel as hosts.
Sitting at Ross and Janet’s beautiful home in Sechelt was ideal..! Ruby is a wonderful, affectionate and gentle soul. Even though she’s a retriever, she doesn’t like to fetch, but she loves to swim! She’s good in and off leash, She knows all the trails and where all the people are who will give her treats! The house is in a convenient location, close to town, the beach and driving distance to many great hiking areas. A truly fantastic sit! Thank you Ross and Janet.
Venan and Grace are a lovely couple that made me feel truly welcome in their home. Their home is located within walking distance of Thetford Forest and there are many walks directly from the house. About 3 miles away is Brandon Country Park which is well worth visiting if you enjoy being outdoors. Berta and Betty are as opposite as you can get. Betty is full of energy and constantly wants to be played with, stroked and cuddled. She will let you know when she's had enough of you ignoring her by barking at you. Berta s far more chilled out. She's very possibly the biggest greyhound I have seen! She is very timid and walks really well on the lead. She will occasionally come for a fuss but mostly is quite content chilling out on her bed. I really enjoyed my time with these two lovely ladies and hope to catch up with Venan and Graced again in the near future.
We had a lovely stay and time with Luna at this home. The house had modern comforts but with an old-timey feeling. Luna greeted us with joy and affection, kept us laughing with her silliness, and kept us active with lovely walks around the area and playing in the large grass field at the house. We would definitely recommend this stay! Thank you for choosing us, sharing your lovely home with us, and for the wonderful and sweet Luna!
Trish was an amazing host and really welcomed us into her home. She gave us local recommendations and left thorough instructions on how to look after Archie. Archie is a ball of energy when he’s feeling up to it, he loves playtime in the local park but also snuggles on the sofa. Thank you Trish & Archie for having us!
