Trisha and her daughter had a handful with my five cats and one hyper active lab. I always worry about my pets more than my home. I shouldn't have worried. I had received communications from both Trisha and Emily via WhatsApp, Texts and instagram. Pictures and videos were always welcomed. And of course my home was spotless( I wish I knew their tricks)!! Frank my Persian with the crusty eyes, prefers Trish's method( of cleaning them) than mine! My "kids" have changed their sleeping habits since I have been home. I had Jenny for a couple hours. But Lilly has been with me all night which is unusual. Kona the dog must be sleeping downstairs except when she wants to go potty. But I am sure once the group 'recognizes' us, all will be back to normal. I would love to have Trish house sit again. I HIGHLY recommend her.
My stay at Jean and Don's in Port Ludlow was maybe the most peaceful place I've ever stayed. The house is in a beautiful and serene location. Jean was communicative and easy to work with. The kitties were easy and didn't require much care. I was covering for just a couple nights during a last minute trip out of town between Christmas and leaving for an extended period. I did a little bit of cleaning upon my arrival - unloading the dishwasher so that I could load dirty dishes left in the sink, wiping surfaces. Overall, a pleasant experience.
We had a lovely time hanging out with Whiskey in and around her gorgeous home! She is a very chill and sweet girl, who loves being outside or just burying herself under blankets in one of her many strategically located beds. The house and surrounding land are both stunning. We only stayed a couple of days and can’t wait to return and explore further. Suzanne and Chris were super friendly, kind and helpful. A fabulous experience all around. We’re looking forward to next time already!
We loved sitting Loki for Eve and Phil. Loki is a delightful cat with a great personality and loves chatting with you --especially about food. He is quite independent but also enjoys keeping close company in his bean bag, being brushed, and of course rubbing across your legs when he is thinking about food! Right from the beginning, Eve and Phil extended a warm welcome and maintained excellent communication both before and throughout our stay. Their home is spacious, equipped with comfortable workspaces and reliable Wi-Fi, making it ideal for remote work. Additionally, we relished exploring Jelling and the picturesque surrounding area. We would be thrilled to care for Loki again and recommend this sit to others!
We had such a great time sitting for Debora and Steve. They are great people with a great family and graciously welcomed us into their home. The house is beautiful and secluded on several acres with a great view. The apartment is the perfect place to stay while sitting. Rusty is a lot of fun with a lot of personality. We became best buds. Debora asked if we could watch their daughter’s 4-month old puppy, Rocco, for the last part of the sit. We said absolutely and glad we did. Rocco is a bundle of fun and the two of them played together all day and tired each other out. We feel lucky to have had this experience and grateful to have met Debora, Steve, Rusty and Rocco!!
We can't say enough about how great this sit was and we couldn't ask for more wonderful host than Ken and Lundy! They are really gracious southerners:) They treated us to a meal our first night and gave very detailed instructions on the home and the pets. Demi and Freckles are so lovable. They are super easy to take care of and we really enjoyed our time with them. The home was designed and built by Lundy and is absolutely adorable with wonderful views of Little Lagoon. There is a semi-secluded beach in the direction of Fort Morgan that we found ourselves going to more than the main beach areas of Gulf Shores. We hope to visit with Demi and Freckles again in the future:) We miss them already!
Magnificent Rojo and Azul (Red and Blue and their collars are that colors too, so you will easily tell them apart) are the kindest lions! While enjoying this beautiful property with a pool that is a huge delight in hot summer days, prepare to receive a gentle energy bomb of happiness each time R&A approach you on your step out and around the house. They are such amazing dogs ... big and strong but also super gentle with people, playful and very well behaved. While observing the little evening lights shining in the distance of the surrounding village, you might also be blessed with hearing the lions howl beautifully at the moon. They for sure must have a lot to say as it did feel sometimes they would only need the ability to speak to be as humans ... No doubts parts of their nature comes from the wonderful owner. I had a chance to be in contact with lovely Carla, who though I have not met in person - but felt I did - could very easily talk about any situation that had arisen during the sit. She was always kind, right from the start, clear with everything, most helpful and super sweet ... it feels like a special place to stay there and I am happy I was trusted with taking care of the lions, the gorgeous property and with that also to be in contact with the loveliest owner ... Consider yourself lucky if you get chosen for this sit!
