Everything was pretty much the way I left it when I got home, which is to say clean and organized. Ami sent videos and pictures of my cats, which made me very happy. Communication was great and my little monsters seemed happy when I got home. I had told Ami to not leave the bathroom mat on the floor because one of my cats would invariably pee on it, but he did anyway and he left it in the patio instead of washing it. Not a huge deal, but that was the only issue I had. I would invite Ami to pet sit again.
This was our first experience having someone pet/housesit for us, so we were a little apprehensive. But after reading all the wonderful reviews for Michael and Galynn, and then speaking with them on the phone, we confirmed the sit. Once we met them in person, we really felt completely at ease. I don't think we could have chosen anyone better to have represented zeewoi. Michael and Galynn are a very personable and energetic couple and you can tell they love animals. They sent us a couple of pictures of Miss Kitty the evening we left, to put us at ease that she was fine and a couple of pictures Saturday. It was just the right amount of communication. They were very easy and flexible about our return time; I texted them that we wanted to make a quick detour that would put us 30-45 minutes late getting home, and they were fine with that. When we arrived home, we found it spotless. Butch and I feel like we have gained new friends through zeewoi, and I know Miss Kitty feels the same. She went to the guest bedroom this morning, looking for them!
Laura and Eric were fantastic house-sitters: very communicative, friendly and tidy. They looked after the flat very well and sent regular updates about my cat Merry. Everything was smooth and easy, meaning I could go on holiday safe in the knowledge the flat and the cat were in their capable hands. They even left me some beautiful gifts when they left. Thank you both. Highly recommend!
What a delight it was to have the amazingly attentive Sam looking after us during our sit in Musselburgh. We will definitely return to play ball with him in the gorgeous grounds of Newhailes Estate. The beaches are close for wandering and swimming and Sam just loves the water . In the evenings, he loves a cuddle on the cosy comfortable sofa after his dinner time , stretching out and usually upside down! The Gardeners Cottage is a peaceful and calming space , very comfortable bed , amazing hot shower, brilliantly equipped kitchen for baking & plenty of garden for Sam to play ball in and close to the Newhailes cafe which had lovely cakes and doggie ice cream too ! Mary & Chris , thank you for everything , hugs to Sam !
