We had an incredible time staying at this stunning townhouse in Old Town Alexandria with two awesome dogs, Coffey and Diego. They are not just pets, they are family. They have different personalities, and they complement each other perfectly. Coffey is a confident and independent dog who likes to take charge and explore new things. He is very smart and loyal, and he enjoys playing with toys and going for walks. He is also very affectionate and loves to cuddle. Diego is a happy and laid-back dog who is always eager to please and make new friends. He is very friendly and playful, and he loves to get treats and attention. He is also very well-behaved and easy to care for. The house is a gem in the heart of Old Town Alexandria. It is cozy, spacious, and fully equipped with everything needed. The house is also immaculately clean and well-maintained, which made us feel very comfortable and relaxed. The WiFi is fast, the TV has unlimited streaming options, and the washer and dryer are simple to use. The location is unbeatable: just minutes from Washington DC, close to shops, restaurants, and attractions, and in a quiet and secure neighborhood. The owners are the best hosts we could ask for. They are kind, generous, and thoughtful. They left detailed instructions for everything in the house and for the dogs. They also gave us their contact information in case we had any questions or issues. They were always responsive and helpful whenever we contacted them. This house sitting opportunity is a rare find. It is not just a place to stay, it is a lifestyle. It is an opportunity to enjoy the company of two wonderful dogs, to discover the beauty and culture of Old Town Alexandria, and to visit the iconic landmarks of Washington DC. We only have good things to say about this sitting. Phil and Charlotte are great people, they made us feel very welcomed, we had everything we needed and the house felt just like at home. Alfie is the cutest little thing we have ever looked after, he is full of energy and a really funny character. At the same time, he will use any opportunity to cuddle with you anywhere, on the couch, the sofa, the floor 😁, we have definitely fell in love with him. Phoebe, unlike Alfie, is a very elegant and independent girl, she likes having her own space but would come around to say hello and for a quick pet every now and then. Joey is lovely and he will for sure try to trick you to get food all the time. He is very warm and approachable, both are really gorgeous cats 🥰. We would 100% recommend this sitting, and would go back again! Thank you Phil and Charlotte!
We lived pretty close so were able to meet Jane and Ian prior to our stay. They were very welcoming and made our stay really straightforward, leaving clear instructions about the house and Squeak. They have a fantastic house, with the river at the bottom of the garden. We loved having a drink watching the paddle boarders float past. We felt as though we were on holiday. Squeak was very easy to look after. He was endearing from the outset, but familiarity made him bolder and more affectionate as the days went on. We'd love to go back if their dates fitted us, and we'd encourage anyone else to enjoy their hospitality.
