This short stay was one of my favorite sits. Ferdoushi's apartment is comfortable and organized, filled with light. Great kitchen and she left plenty of room in the fridge for groceries. The kitties, Momo and foster Mr. Brady are cute as can be. Ferdoushi's descriptions are accurate and Momo needs time to adjust to your presence. I let her come around me as she wanted and soon she was checking me out although I did not try to pet her, we made it work. Mr. Brady the foster (thank goodness for foster parents!) was shy and tentative at first, which is to be expected but over the weekend he really warmed up to me and let me pet him. He even let me know when he wanted his chin scratched! Making him feel safe and letting him know he was loved was a highlight of my sit. The other highlight was being able to hop on the train (a 10 minute walk) to NYC! I zipped in to NY easy as could be and had two great days wandering around taking in the sights. Perfect location for access to New York. Thank you Ferdoushi for choosing me to care for your pets and home.
We had the pleasure of babysitting 2 treasures of dogs, Nala and Nancy "pantsy". Nala is a 1st class cuddly butt and Nancy is a bit shy but once you gain her trust she won't leave your side. Xanthe is a super sweet spontaneous woman who welcomed us hospitably and explained everything clearly how everything works, she was easy to reach during the babysitting period if there was anything. Xanthe, thank you so much for this unforgettable experience in Dubai! And we would love to see you when you are in the Netherlands.
Pete is a quintessential cat. He sleeps most of the day and hunts mice at night, with the occasional present of a disembodied head at the door. When I arrived, he was very non-fussed about a change in humans and immediately approached me to give him some pets. Pete is a super low key lover boy with good kitty manners in all respects. Sara's home is comfortable and clean. It is blessed with water views from the living room, and mountain views (my favorite!) from the kitchen and the guest bedroom. As someone in a different review mentioned, the guest bed really is very comfortable, complete with white cotton sheets which I loved. There is even an old clawfoot tub on the back porch for soaking without having to drive to Sol Duc Hot Springs. I highly recommend this sit.
What a fabulous experience for our very first house sit! Jane was fantastic and made us feel so welcome from the start, taking us out for a meal on our first night, showing us where everything was in the area and generally allowing us to feel at home in her gorgeous house. We really enjoyed talking to Jane and getting to know her. George was such a joy and we absolutely loved spending time with him. He loved cuddles on the big blue sofa outside and we managed to get him in the pool for a little swim most days. He was so easy to look after & we miss him already. The house and Javea were just amazing, we couldn’t have asked for anything better. We would absolutely love to house sit for Jane and George again should the opportunity arise and highly recommend them if you get the chance
Mckenzie is beyond amazing! First time we met on zoom and then, when I arrived to New York, in person. Both meetings were fantastic, warm, friendly and caring. For a brief period of time, we managed to exchange so much information about everything including our work, childhood and what we both value in life. I instantly felt connected and knew that I met a new friend. She kindly welcomed me to feel at home and, I, actually, felt exactly this way. It was the best Christmas of my life! Because... Laney is the best animal in the world, and I absolutely fallen in love with her. We had so much fun and memorable moments together! She is also very sensitive and comes for a cuddle, when she feels you need it. She gives you special Laney kisses and surprises you with love, care and connection. She is adventurous, when it comes for walks, and loves watching movies, when chilling at home. Laney is the greatest company in anything you want to do! And, being super cute, is an excellent photo model. The perfect Christmas family. Mckenzie is excellent in communication and an expert in human connection and kindness. She is a good fun to be with and extremely intelligent and generous. She also gave me a great description of everything that Laney needs: it was super easy to follow. And I quickly learnt what Laney likes as she is very expressive. Chatting with Mckenzie and telling her how Laney felt and what we were doing, while she was away, was such a joy! I greatly miss Laney and Mckenzie. I hope to see them both soon again.
