This was a great sit. Zeke was delightful! She is very personable and a joy to be around. Communication with Meghan was great. The condo was clean and more spacious than we expected, and felt very safe. The mattress was super-comfortable, too. We were able to enjoy some beautiful paved bike trails in the area, especially the South Prong Greenway, which was gorgeous. Zeke is very well-behaved. She did not make a lot of noise or wake us up in the mornings, and she was usually content exploring the top of her cage or sitting on her kitchen perch. But she's super sociable with a big personality, and she will definitely join you for dinner! Lots of fun.
I had the privilege of being Alice and Obi's first sitter through the site. Obi is a wonderful, special boy who is a joy to care for. Being a rescue cat, he was a little bit shy at first but within a few hours had completely warmed up, revealing a sweet, inquisitive and playful personality - Obi loves company and is as affectionate and loving as he is independent. From the moment I read Alice's post, her love for rescue cat Obie shone through and while new to the site, it was clear she was lovely, warm and would be a wonderful host - I was not wrong! Alice made the process easy and relaxed and I arrived to a spotless house, lovely welcome note from Alice and a box of chocolates (from Obi of course!). Alice kept in regular contact throughout, celebrating with me when Obi came out to play (as she had initially wondered whether he might hide for much of my stay). Alice's home is a wonderful space; homely, tasteful and interesting with fun pieces to enjoy throughout. She has all mod-cons and an exceptionally comfortable bed. My days spent in Alice's home with the gorgeous Obi felt like a sanctuary and true home from home - Perhaps comparable to a staycation at a boutique hotel after a long week :) If you have the opportunity to sit for this wonderful little family, you're sure to come away come away feeling wonderful and loving Obi as much as I do. I could not have had a more perfect stay, thank you Alice and hope to see you and Prince Obi again soon! :)
Gillian and Ken went out of their way to be helpful, meeting me at Touolouse airport and even driving me back into town when I left, because of my difficulty walking. Gillian and Ken have a beautiful home! I loved being there, enjoyed the peaceful garden, the hills around, and the Ariège region itself. The cats were no problem except for an incident with one of them, which meant I was tied to the house more than I expected, but as I said, it is a beautiful place to spend time, from the lovely bed linens, to the nice decorator touches and the great patios where I spent hours reading. Gillian showed me the local area before they left, pointing out the various supermarkets and recommended places to visit, including an amazing garden open to the public. I loved my time and would recommend this house sit oportunity whole heartedly.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay looking after Monika's beautiful, friendly horses, a short drive away from the home. They need daily exercise in the lounge arena and special food supplements. The horses live on a farm with amazing mountain and valley views, while Monika's 300 year old house is in a charming village. Monika made me feel very welcome and cooked amazing nature's food. The accommodation in her all-new all-wood work studio was very private, comfy and spacious. I can highly recommend this sit to anyone and would come back anytime!
This sit was absolutely amazing! The dogs are so adorable and loving! They listen well, are always excited to see you and love lot's of cuddles! They definitely stole my heart! Mark is very nice and easy to communicate with. He takes enough time to explain everything you need to know about the dogs and the house and was available for questions during the sit. The house is beautiful, clean and well equipped. You can find everything you need and more. I loved this sit and would definitely stay here again!
