This was our first sit and Ian and Jayne could not have made it any easier for us. They walked us through the small amount of responsibilities required of us and left a few reminder notes where applicable. The separate self contained accommodation was absolutely idea and made the stay feel more like a holiday, clean, cozy and comfy. Communication before and during our stay was easy and we were made to feel very welcome. The sheep were fun to look after and we started to recognise their characters during our stay. This is an idea location for walking and cycling, a National Cycle Route is located at the end of the road. We can also highly recommend the Saxon Arms, fabulous food and great staff. We couldn’t have wished for a better first sit.
What a wonderful time I had doing this sit for Nancy and Eric! Their home is lovely with lots of fabulous art throughout, and they made me feel completely comfortable. They also provided a well organized welcome guide that covered every detail you could ever want to know about the house and surrounding area. Archie and Alfie are like dream cats… well behaved, very interactive, happy with affection and playtime but also happy napping or just observing what’s happening. Another bonus was that Nancy and Eric’s home backs up to a beautiful open space full of trails through the hills and revealing various beautiful views. I would happily sit for them again!
I had the pleasure of looking after two adorable dogs, Titan and Wolf, and a charming cat, Chip. The dogs were friendly and well-behaved, and the cat, while independent, enjoyed cuddles in the evenings. The property featured a beautiful pool with a stunning view, enhancing the overall enjoyment of my stay. Edith was incredibly hospitable, providing detailed information about the house and the pets, which made my job much easier and more enjoyable. Overall, it was a joyful and fulfilling experience, and I’d be delighted to care for such wonderful pets again.
We had such a lovely time sitting for Viv & Ted. They welcomed us into their home with an excellent vegan meal! The information pack Viv & Ted provided was detailed and up to date. Their home is super comfortable and the animals are a delight. Minx is super sweet and playful. She does like to chase anything that moves, so our walks were very energetic. She loves to play with her ball. Digby and Sebbie are sweet cats. They mostly do their own thing outside, but come in occasionally for a cuddle. All are pretty easy to care for. It was kind of wet & stormy when we were there, so we didn't really get to enjoy the surroundings as much as we would have liked, but there are a couple of good walks from the house and it is only 30 minutes from a nice beach. We would definitely recommend this sit!
We had the most amazing time in Caroline’s house taking care of Kenzo! Caroline is a super welcoming host, everything is well explained, really clear and she even gave us some tips of places (restaurants etc) to go to during our stay. Caroline's house is well located (to go to Manhattan by metro or in Brooklyn by bus) very cosy, very quiet with a nice garden, it is very well decorated with a great kitchen! Kenzo is a smart loving dog. Full of energy during walks and a big fan of cuddling! We had a great 6 days that we will remember for a long time! We already miss Kenzo and we would definitely house sit for Caroline again!
