Wonderful house sit in a beautiful lovation with a fabulous dog and great owner. Nothing more can be added.
Bernard & Clem are adorable, affectionate cats and I very much enjoyed discovering their different personalities. I loved Clem’s chatting away during playtime and Bernard’s loud purring! Kat and Marc were wonderful hosts and I enjoyed spending time in their comfortable and beautifully designed house. They were easy to chat with and kept in touch throughout. They were very organised and had clear instructions about the sit so I knew exactly what was required for a smooth stay.
Millie is just the sweetest girl. We loved being her humans for the week. She snuggled up in the mornings on the outdoor sofa while I had my morning coffee in the sun - my hot spot! After her breakfast we would venture into the Heath to enjoy the ancient trees, nooks and crannies as well heading up to Highgate’s fabulous charity shops. Carmel and Catherine made sure we were made as comfortable as possible in their lovely flat. It felt like a haven of calm. They found us wonderful neighbours who could take Millie on our last day so I could head off on a 3 hour drive in daylight hours as I’m not so confident driving in the dark which we really appreciated. So many people stopped to chat because of Millie. She’s a bit of a heart melter and that made a London sit in a pandemic just that bit extra special. ♥️
I had a great time with Remy, Gauge, and Livy. They are all so affectionate and loving and responsive to your wishes. Michelle and her family have a beautiful home and I felt very welcomed. I was able to meet Michelle and the family before they departed. They were great about giving specific details of what was needed for each animal and the house/plants and were also very responsive whenever I had questions or concerns. All-in-all it was a great time and I would love to watch Remy, Gauge, and Livy again in the future!
We had a wonderful time taking care of Buddy and Holly (the dogs), Harvey (the cat) and the chickens. Julia gave us all the information needed to take care of the pets, property, and garden and lots of information on places to visit locally. The house is an absolute pleasure to stay in and the gardens are glorious. You can spend days walking around the immense beautiful gardens and marvelling at the views out across the surrounding fields. There are some lovely walks to take the dogs using public footpaths through that beautiful countryside straight from the property which we thoroughly enjoyed. Julia and Ashley also gave us helpful information on walks further afield and on the coast which is only 40 mins away by car. We loved taking the dogs along the Marriots Way which is a traffic free disused railway line nearby and to some fabulous beaches in Winterton-on-Sea, Sea Palling and Horsey Gap. The dunes and surrounding countryside on the coast are gorgeous and Buddy and Holly loved exploring them with us. Buddy and Holly are very well behaved, fun loving and very affectionate dogs that are a joy to be around. Harvey the cat plays his part and enjoys lots of fuss and attention and rewards you with his relaxing presence until he is good and ready to spend the night outside patrolling his territory. The chickens are great fun. We enjoyed feeding them each morning and afternoon and watching them roam freely around the grounds and of course checking to see if they had left some very tasty eggs! This was a delightful pet/house sit and we cannot recommend it highly enough and would love given the opportunity to repeat in the future.
Clare's apartment is cosy, clean, warm and comfortable - a lovely spot to spend three days in less than ideal weather! Equally close walking distance to shops, cafes and the beach. The comprehensive welcome guide told me everything I needed to know. Bella the dachshund is sweet company, fun to play with, cuddly, calm and well-behaved (once she realised I was not a threat to her mum). I very much appreciated Clare's offer to drive me home through torrential rain at the end of the sit. Highly recomended!
