Thanks to zeewoi we were so fortunate to meet and get to know Mary and Johnny. They are absolutely wonderful people, very friendly. We enjoyed meeting them very much. They love animals and took great care of our 2 dogs and a kitty while we were gone. We have one senior dog who has mobility issues and needed medication. Mary and Jonny gave him extra love and care. We throughly enjoyed our trip because we knew our house and pets are in good hands. Communication was great through the entire trip with regular updates and cute pets pictures. House was super clean and pets were happy on our returns. We are so lucky Mary and Johnny are relatively local to us and we hope to have them back for our next trip.
Lisa and her family were so welcoming and made us feel right at home. Even though it was her first time having TH pet sitters Lisa was very organized, hospitable, and appreciative. Communication before, during, and after the sit was excellent! Chad and I really enjoyed our 3 weeks in this beautiful newly renovated home in such a quiet and peaceful neighborhood (yet only a minute from main roads). Picturesque walking trails and parks are literally everywhere in any direction from the house!! Chad and Daisy lived for their several walks a day and they let me tag along sometimes too... even if I slowed them down a bit ;-) haha. Cleo the cat was so affectionate and we truly enjoyed our cuddle times with her in the very comfortable bed. Chad collected several wild blackberries along the bike trail a few times during the visit. What a delightful surprise that so many were ripe during our stay. We highly recommend this sit and miss these sweet pets already. We would love to be reunited with them in the future!
It was a great sit. Everything was as described and Dozer and Piper were easy to look after. As there is plenty of hiking to do in the area, Dozer was great company to have. Communication with Katie & Jason went seamless too. All in all I highly recommend sitting here.
Carolina and Raul are extremely kind and hospitable hosts with some of the cutest kitties around! They were very communicative and helpful with anything we needed and we had a really great time in their comfy apartment. Galleta is a sweetheart who wants to cuddle or lay on her heat pad, and Turrón is a goofball that will always keep you entertained. Going out to explore Glasgow and Edinburg was easy with the cats automatic feeders, but staying home was just as fun with the cats!
Jasmine was a delight to sit for. She's super snuggly and friendly and a joy to be with. Tyana's home was very clean and well located. I'll gladly come back to sit again for Tyana and Jasmine.
OVERALL - Had booked the sit immediately when I saw it was in St. Austell as it is close to Eden Project and I've always wanted to go back ever since I first visited. I was very excited when we got there as the animals greeted us boisterously. I intended for it to be a time away for me and my two siblings and Peter and George, Finley and Pepper definitely provided us a home away from home for a couple of days and we are ever so grateful to Peter opening his home for us. COMMUNICATION - Peter was very informative all the way through. First, we scheduled a call to get to know each other soon as he accepted my application to look after his home and pets. Peter checked in with me as the sit was getting nearer the date and we frequently exchanged messages from the minute we got settled into his home all the way when we left. My siblings and I had trouble with our phone service in that surrounding area and when Peter couldn't get hold of me, he went his way to check in on everyone and reassured us that everything was okay. HOSPITALITY - Peter had sorted a parking permit, lots of informative notes on the table for us to read through; from food for animals, important numbers and neighbour contacts, instructions on how to work appliances and other amenities, wi-fi, map of the area, walking routes how to work the log burner (EVEN SET IT UP! I just have to light it), places to eat and visit. Peter even let us use all the bedrooms, left wine and drinks for us to consume and told us to help ourselves. Peter was very helpful and was very kind enough to make us feel at home. CLEANLINESS - Peter had laid out all folded towels for us to use. The hoover, mop and brush and all the cleaning supplies was easy to find which helped us maintain the cleanliness of the house. I even had access to the doggies' grooming brush and sprays and made and my siblings groom both dogs. PET BEHAVIOIUR - George is a gentle giant, very chilled and laid back. He was quite old so whenever we all had a gather around the lounge, he has to wear nappy because of incontinence. During walks we quite enjoyed George's slow pace as it made us soak in the surroundings. Finley was more hyper and was constantly giving the puppy eyes especially when he's finished his food. I have to be vigilant every feeding time as he would devour everything even cat food and treats if you don't watch out. Play was not an issue as Finley is very fun-loving one and made us laugh with his enthusiam more times that I could count. Pepper had her own world to rule during the day but very clingy at night which we didn't mind as more cuddles for us. Pepper and I would often do head bunting with each other which we all adored. LISTING - I'd say the listing was very accurate. It was indeed close drive to the beach, had a garden that have access to playing field (which we got to see renaissance re-enactment, or just a bunch of teenagers dressed up as knights and did sword play), had busses running, a pub literally few houses away and a very lovely village! Very warm people who had lovely smiles too! The pets was wonderfully loveable and their personalities match their pictures displayed.
This was an amazing sit with great, sweet dogs, a gorgeous home full of love and character, and wonderfully kind, accommodating and responsive hosts. We enjoyed our time with Birdy beyond words and developed such a bond and so much love for her. We miss her deeply. She is pretty chill, but with so much personality, a cuddle bug when she wants to be (which we cherished. Birdy will definitely let you know when she does or does not want to be touched), and very easy to care for. She loves her special spots, under the comforter with you at night and perched on top of the couch cushion or the window seat during the day, to watch the world go by, with the occasional bark here and there. Lambchop, unfortunately, got sick within the first week of our sit, but she was very calm with a manageable routine, sleeping most of the day and taking her medications with ease. John and Kristin handled Lambchop’s health scare wonderfully. John flew back home to get her and she was able to recover well once with her family. Overall, this was such an amazing, joyful housesit and we would love the opportunity to sit for this family again and love on these dogs some more!
