I truly enjoyed sitting for Kathy and Vick, with their two kitties: Munchkin and Fancy. They have a really nice home on a lake in Falls Church, with incredible sunrise views. Their kitchen was heaven - I really miss gas stoves and theirs was awesome! I loved playing w/ Fancy and Munchkin - and they slept w me every night! I would go back to their house in a heart beat - great restaurants, shopping and access to Metro (especially nice for a DC worker like me) make this one awesome housesit. Kathy and Vick are wonderful hosts, and I hope they invite me back....
We had a great time sitting for Angela and Dan. Their condo was beautiful, spacious, and in a great city location with so much to see and do. Communication was easy and helpful from start to finish. Their two cats, Marshall and Pepper were sweet, entertaining and easy to care for. We will miss both of them so much. We highly recommend this sit and appreciated the opportunity to enjoy one of the best neighborhoods in the city and to meet such a nice couple. Thanks, Angela and Dan!
It was an absolute joy looking after Oreo and Misha. They are both well behaved and very cuddly dogs which was a real treat when we are both missing our dog in the UK. The house was also a pleasure to stay in. It is modern with great amenities and a very comfy family sized bed, with plenty of space for us and the dogs. If you are a big dog lover this is for you as they were keen to snuggle 24 hours a day. Joe and Denise will make sure you have everything you need for your sit and were very communicative through out. Although it is a bit far from central Calgary we enjoyed the parks nearby, along with local bars and shops and buses into the city were accessible. We would definitely recommend.
Our stay at Michelle's place looking after Sophie was great. Prior to our stay we had a short video call and fantastic communication with Michelle. She provided us with a binder full of information, not only about Sophie and her home but with maps and brochures of what to do in Barrie and the surrounding area. Sophie, who is usually scared of men, warmed up to Philipp right away and was a pleasure to care for right from the start. She was calm and sweet throughout our stay. Thanks for a wonderful first housesitting experience Michelle and Sophie!
This what my first sit through THS and what a wonderful experience it was. Trish and her family were very welcoming and great hosts. Banjo is a proper character who in just 6 days I got so attached to. He loves his walks and some play time during the day as you'd expect from a 2-year-old labrador. I was surprisingly sad to say goodbye to him when the sit came to an end. The area is absolutely gorgeous with some stunning walks and scenery. The home is very spacious and has all the mod cons you could ever need. I even got to light my first-ever fire in a genuine fireplace. I hope to be able to sit for Trish and her family again in the future should our dates coincide.
What a lovely family and a comfortable home! The cats are sweet and easy to care for. It took a couple of days for them to come to us for attention and playtime. They like to be brushed and to play with the laser. We wouldn't hesitate to house sit here again.
