It was such a pleasure to stay at Christine’s beautiful residence, tasked with the care of the charming but reticent Miss Bennett! Miss B makes the task easier in that she will eat whatever’s put before her and charm you with her tortoiseshell looks, before retreating back to the safety of her lair.. Christine’s flat is located in the hubbub of Berlin’s fashionable Friedrichshain, with Cafés, restaurants,, Boxi market and clubs aplenty. The communication was good and the flat clean and wonderfully decorated. A charming housesit.
We sat for Yuliia and Ihor for 4 weeks, and we had a perfect experience! They are both charming people, with an absolutely lovely flat that is literally less than 10 minutes from Central Station. Their home is a comfortable place to be. They were readily available to answer any questions via text throughout the 4 weeks. We also got to spend time with Simon!!! Within 5 mins of us arriving home - he was on our lap! He is a super super sweet cat, he was sleeping, and purring wildly when we pet him. We formed a special bond with Simon. We will DEFINITELY be back to spend time in Yullia and Ihor´s home at the first opportunity!
We had a fabulous week staying at Sian and Simon's lovely barn and looking after their gorgeous dogs, who are super-friendly, obedient and a joy to spend time with. Sian and Simon are very friendly and we were made to feel welcome immediately. Sian kindly prepared a lovely dinner for us to share with them, and even baked us a cake. Their barn is beautifully and tastefully decorated and furnished and offers all the home comforts one could possibly wish for including a very comfortable bed and we even had our own en-suite. We enjoyed playing with the dogs in their garden in such a peaceful and picturesque location, with lovely field walks and old mining buildings just across the road, and ponies nearby. There is an abundance of wildlife and we heard owls hooting in the evenings. The people we met on walks loved to stop and chat, and meet the dogs, and everyone was very friendly. I would highly recommend this house-sit and we really hope we have an opportunity to return one day.
I was happy to help Barbara and Brad out as their first TH sitter and be able to give them a positive experience. They had literally just moved into their new home and did a great job of creating a beautiful home to settle into, which was a nice respite from to-do reminders at home. Communication with Barbara was easy, as was taking care of the house and cats. After a few days, we had our grove and I was able to connect with them individually – Cleo, Roxie, Pumpkin and Fluffie – each one full of surprises. : ) It made me smile to see Cleo take a nap in the breeze and I loved Fluffie coming in to sleep with me the last 3 nights. I would happily help and have another staycation!
This was our perfect housesitting experience. Close enough to town to explore the many attractions as well as day trips to the mamy neighbouring historic townships. The property itself was so peaceful, with many bushwalk options, waterfalls, emus and other wildlife. We were provided with clear and concise instructions and given a good run through of the property/home before the owners depature. They were a lovely couple who we chatted with a month or so prior to commencing our housesit. Sheldon the cat 🐈 was the most adorable and loving little moggie. We just adored him. We can't compliment the Bathurst locals more highly, everyone we met were really friendly and so welcoming. There is such a pride among the locals of their town and people. Foodies will love this area also, so many great restaurant options. If you are country at heart this is just perfect.
