We loved our house sit at Bucklebury with Harry. We met Piers, Viv, Georgia and Michael and had lunch with them before they left for India - what a great family. They were all so welcoming and kind. We were shown around the house and around the village. Piers had plenty of information for us re walks and points of interest. Harry was a delight to be with - he let you know when it was time for a walk, for bed and to be fed. We kept him on the lead all the time on walks. He was good when we encountered other dogs, horses and other people. At night he would sit with us on the lounge and watch TV. The chickens are easy to care for and you get fresh eggs every day. We ventured to a few places in the car with Harry but ended up spending most of our time walking him on the walks around Bucklebury. We highly recommend this sit plus you have a river right outside the front door. Thanks for the sit Piers, Viv, Georgia and Michael.
Kate and Ian are amazing! I had an amazing time watching their gorgeous home and two charming dogs Nellie and Whidbey for a month. They were super thoughtful from the first correspondence. They were very clear on what to expect, answered all my questions, and provided a fabulous welcome guide. They even provided me with dedicated closet and refrigerator space which was so kind! They were also available by text when I had questions and always super positive and warm with every interaction. Their home is in historic Georgetown and close to tons of great restaurants, cafes, bakeries, hiking trails and parks, the waterfront where you can rent kayaks or SUPs, and the famed Kennedy Center. You can walk almost everywhere you want but if you want to go to Capitol Hill or a baseball game there are buses and metros close by. Its truly an amazing location. The house is huge and stunning but also comfortable and cozy. They also have amazing housecleaners who come twice a week so its not a burden to keep up with the cleaning. They also partcipate in a Community Supported Agriculture program so a huge box of fresh eggs, veggies, and fruit is delivered to the house each week! It was fabulous to have fresh produce delivered right to the house. To compliment the fruit and veggies, there is a huge Safeway and Trader Joes only a five minute walk away. AND the most enjoyable part of the sit was getting to hang out and care for charming Whidbey and Nellie; they are the sweetest dogs! They are affectionate, communicative, and have TONS of personality. They kept me company while I teleworked, watched TV, and loved their walks. They never bark and are easy. You will love them, I can’t say enough about how amazing Nellie and Whidbey are, the kindness of Kate and Ian, and how wonderful and comfortable their home is. This was an amazing sit!! I definitely would love to sit for them in the future and miss Nellie and Whidbey already!!!
Staying at Tess was lovely <3 The house is great, very spacious, has everything you might need, beautifully decorated and amazing energy ! Communication with Tess was great, before, during and after the stay and her family is lovely, all very polite. Tess picked me up at the station in Ivybridge, she and Evan took me on a walk with Coco so I could know my way around town and also dropped me off when I left. Coco is beautiful, very friendly and happy, loves company and cuddles. Can't get enough of her waggling tail ! Prince likes his own space but can also be very cuddly, which I was happily surprised. I fell in love with him and I feel very honored that he trusted me and got so close. Both are very obedient, well mannered and great companies, loved being with them ! There is also Steve and Nuggets, two lizards that stay on their vivariums. Tess let me know about them beforehand and a friend of her daughters could come and look over them if I wanted. I chose to have this new experience, which was amazing ! Learned about the lizards, how to care for them, how to give them crickets and waxworms and also learned how to care for the crickets. It was great ! Tess also left contact numbers in case I needed help with them (which I did, just to be just everything was all right and also because I needed more crickets). Everything was great and I highly recommend sitting for Tess and her family ! Hope to see you all again !!
My first petsit in CDMX was with Gertie and Einie, and they were absolute sweeties, with big personalities! I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Samantha and Alvaro's place. It's located in a great area where you can walk almost anywhere. They were very attentive and made sure I had all the comforts to make my stay with their furbabies a perfect visit. By the way, the doormen were also super nice!
It was a amazing sit at Katie’s. The girls, (dogs) Tamara, Ellie and Bibi are such a caracter and fun to be with. I am always picturing their cute faces looking at me after the sit that give a smile on my face and is so warm-heartening. Katie is a lovely person and her relationship with the girls is unique, warm and whole hearted. Katie's house is very warm with a beautiful sunny garden and roses, a english a bit wild garden, beautiful & The daily walking paths we took was so relaxing in beautiful forest with a river and many options to take different routes. I would definitely take care of the girls again and thanks Katie for being such a tentative host and great person.
I had a wonderful time spending a week with Stevie in Ashland! She is a sweetie, very responsive, and is an excellent guide on local trails. The location is perfect - numerous trails are right out the back door. I took her on a car ride to a hike about 30 mins away, and the ride really was stressful for her and it took a lot of coaxing to get her back in the car on the way back. She is generally very treat-motivated, but even that wasn't enough. I only mention it to recommend other sitters stick with local trails (which are amazing). Dan and Leslie were very kind and hospitable. I would highly recommend this sit!
