First, I would like to thank Kristina for being flexible and letting me arrive a day early to fit my work schedule. I enjoyed her natural hospitality, connecting, and sharing meals. We talked, we yoga-ed, and ate her yummy homemade Christmas cookies. She made me feel right at home.

Buster had already moved into my room before I arrived, and it took him all but 20 minutes to warm up to me. What a gentle and sweet cat he is! I liked him straight away. He is a creature of habit and has well-defined routines, so taking care of him is straightforward. Buster reliably sleeps most of the time and occasionally wants to go outside and/or eat. He will let you know politely if something is amiss. Usually, the food is not up to snuff, and the situation can be remedied by giving him a few treats or a different type of food.
He didn’t initiate snuggles with me but didn’t oppose my approaches and would immediately turn on the purr machine when I pet him. He slept on the bed with me, which was a nice perk.

Fort Bragg is a cute town of around 7000 people on the beautiful Mendocino coast. It has all the amenities: multiple grocery stores, cute touristy shops, a museum, and ample restaurants, breweries, and bars. I found people very friendly and helpful and soaked up the good vibes.

Kristina’s early 20th-century home has a beautiful backyard and garden. I enjoyed her homegrown kale, bok choy, and herbs. Her kitchen is fully loaded as she likes to cook and bake. The house is conveniently located at walking distance from downtown and the beautiful coast. There are plenty of bike paths and coastal trails to explore. I had a really great time.

Jack
My daughters and I had an absolutely fantastic time pet sitting for Jack and Lindsay! They were the perfect hosts, making us feel incredibly welcome in their lovely home. Their warm, hospitable, and friendly nature put us at ease straight away.

Their home is cozy, neat, and well-equipped, with a beautiful garden where kitties love to bask in the sun. It was an absolute pleasure to care for Tarallini and Fennel. Fennel was a delight to play with, and his friendly and playful nature kept us entertained throughout the stay. Tarallini, on the other hand, was a little shy at first, but with some patience and a bit of coaxing, she soon warmed up. Seeing her finally come out of her shell was a true delight.

Jack provided a detailed guide that covered everything I needed to know about caring for their pets and maintaining their home. It was very helpful and informative, and it made my pet sitting experience even more seamless. Communication with both Jack and Lindsay was excellent throughout my stay, and any questions or concerns I had were promptly addressed.

I would highly recommend pet sitting for Jack and Lindsay. They are fantastic hosts who go out of their way to make you feel at home. Their home and pets are a pleasure to care for, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with Tarallini and Fennel. I cannot thank them enough for entrusting their pets and home to us.

Janet
We thoroughly enjoyed our sit in Llanon for Janet and Twtsi. Janet was really welcoming and left us some lovely gifts. Her welcome guide was comprehensive and she showed us round when we arrived explaining everything. The house is very comfortable and the garden beautiful and practically on the coastal path! Twtsi is a delightful cat and so easy to care for, we shall miss her. We would certainly recommend sitting for Janet.

We had the best week at the farm! All the animals had their own character and we loved them all! There were baby kitties and goats and all the birds which we had the pleasure of looking after, and Lorraine was in the other end of the phone any time we had any questions!

We especially bonded with the dogs, the sheps are such funny big puppies, and they love their big little sister. All three see themselves as lap dogs and want all the loving.

We’d absolutely recommend a stay out here to anyone who wants to be amongst a ton of animals, and having access to the best fresh eggs!

Looking after Pigeon, Scruff, Parker, and this lovely home was a pleasure. The house is in a beautiful location, surrounded by vast fields, excellent for long walks. It is a very well equipped, comfortable and welcoming space filled with a sense of family. The terraced pool is great on warm days, and the maintenance routine easy to follow. Zoe and Anthony were warm hospitable people, with a gorgeous family. We enjoyed fruit and veggies from Anthony’s garden, those tomatoes were the best! The cats were sweet and so easy to care for, and we found to our delight that Pigeon decided we were ok. We had support from Anthony’s lovely mum Rosh, with whom we hit it off straight away. A wonderful sit, which we highly recommend.

There are no words nor photos that can truly depict how fantastic this sit is! It is simply "Switzerland" in all its glory. Not only amongst great mountains, but actually on the mountain (and we're talking way way up on the mountain). Was a great surprise for us.

We got off to a rough start on our trip with some navigational issues and arrived a couple hours past our ETA. Simply put, there was stress from all sides. But... Viola was waiting for us with a big smile when we arrived around 10pm (I'm certain past her preferred bed time. She immediately made us feel welcome. Luckily the sit started the next day, so we were able to go over the home/pet details the next morning.

The home is amazing. Enough said. The pets are even better! Largo. Cutest pug ever. And healthy and fit as well (as we've had a number of pugs we've cared for in the past, and they can have issues). Plus he is a cuddler. Immediately attached to Sherrie. Sabinka was all mine. She is a rescue and maybe the sweetest dog ever! Loves loves loves walking (or running). She'll go as long and as far as you are able (and there are amazing forest trails to take if your fitness is up to it). Also the "cat". Super affectionate and easy to care for. Would settle in with all of us on the couch in the evenings. Was always a the struggle of who could get on Sherrie's lap first, the cat or Largo. I was the second option.

Thanks to Viola and Claude for giving us such an incredible memory. We look forward to seeing you again in the future. And no better place to wake for our 22nd wedding anniversary, than the Swiss Alps!
