Janis was simply an absolute delight! Clearly she has had experience as a sitter and was completely organized and at ease coming into my home while I was gone. Her approach to my often timid dog was absolutely perfect, and he was comfortable with her from the beginning. She relieved all anxiety I had in leaving him by her calm and sweet connection with him. I requested a daily walk for him, and while I was away she regularly sent updates with photos showing me all their experiences. It was clear he was having a great time with her. On my first evening away she texted to clarify which gates needed closing since I had not included that clearly in the written instructions. I really appreciated knowing she was detail oriented enough to follow through on that. I came home to a house that was cleaner than I had left it, with the linens and towels she used already washed. The summer garden was all watered and fresh flowers were in the house. What an absolute treat she was! And, my Beau was healthy and happy. She is welcomed back as often as our schedules allow!
Simply, wow! I had such a special summer nestled in the green mountains. Gary and Jenny’s home is very spacious and welcoming. Nellie and Chili are the sweetest,! There were very easy and low maintenance animals, they just wanted cuddles and love. Chili is independent while sometimes mischievous playing with random pens and objects left on the tables, she is curious and affectionate. Nellie loves pets and attention and will be your shadow, following you room to room. She is very easy to walk and well-behaved with other dogs and people. You would never know she’s 14. Also, she is very good in the car. Nellie does get nervous with thunderstorms which we had a lot of, it’s tricky to get her out to pee in the rain but can easily be swayed with treats. Overall, this pet sit has been an absolute joy. Jenny and Gary are the true heart and spirit of THS, very generous, laid back and communicative if anything was needed during the sit. If you are a mountain lover and are lucky enough to land this sit, you will have the best time. I will miss Nellie and Chili and waking up to the most beautiful pink sunrises. So lucky to have had this experience!
This was my favorite sit so far. Sherri is SO nice and really went out of her way to make me feel comfortable. We were able to meet the week before and I got to view her gorgeous home and meet the super lovable Teddy. Her home is a really beautiful, very clean, high ceiling, newer contemporary with a great pool in the back yard. Nice safe upscale neighborhood. Quick easy walk to a nice county park on a huge lake with beach. Teddy and I visited several times over the course of 4 days. Sherri kept in touch, was quick to respond and was appreciative when I sent her photos and updates. Sherri and her home were great but Teddy is really the star of the show. So much personality packed in to that sweet little pup. He’s hilarious and will keep you laughing. Likes to play chase, frisbee, tug of war and then crash with you on the couch. Such a good boy. I miss him so much already. I very highly recommend this sit if you are ever privileged enough to be invited, don’t hesitate, you’ll be glad you did.
If we could give this sit 20 Stars we would! Paula made us feel very welcome in her wonderful home. Henry and Hannah were very timid, although Henry made numerous appearances at night, checking out the house and munching treats left near our guest room. Care of these two kitties was so easy. Food, water, litter box checks, and leave them to do whatever they found comfortable. We took advantage of a couple of local seafood restaurants, and Doug feasted on fresh oysters from the Charlestown Mini Super. Charlestown beach is close by and fabulous. Paula invited us to use her bikes, which we peddled to the beach several times. One our top sits of all time. Thank you, Paula!! We definitely hope to be back!!
Thank you very much James and Sally for choosing us to sit for you, we had a great time. We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived until we left, we much appreciated it. Looking after Marlow was really great and was a pleasure, especially him showing us the walks (lol). On top of that we got to enjoy your lovely home and countryside. Thank you for you generosity. If the opportunity arose again, we wouldn’t hesitate. Sophie their cat is such a delight and I could easily have taken her with me, as for Hercules I was so surprised how quick he moved, as soon as he heard my voice he would come over to the edge of his run. We really enjoyed the whole experience.
Angela is an excellent person and made us feel very comfortable in her home, which, by the way, is very cozy. She always responded to our messages promptly and was very attentive to us. Chino is a gentleman, an adorable and very gentle dog with us and our children. We will miss being with him (he even taught us that going slow also gets you far :) ).

We took our dogs for an "evaluation" before we boarded them. To see if they "passed", they told us that our German Shepard totally "shut down" when she was with other females. Didn't even try putting her with males. So they (two Chihuahuas had other issues" They never once suggested that the get German Shepherd should not be near our beloved and therapy dog Morgan. Who was obviously a female....I told them that the German Shepherd and Morgan can't be together. They claimed they were dog professionals...the very next day, our German Shepherd killed our precious Morgan, in 8 seconds....thanks....

My dog came home happy and exhausted after his first weekend. Just Like Home cares, is fun for my dog and reasonably priced for me.
They do no offer the services that are advertised on their website, where clear sizes and descriptions are printed. When I brought this up, the reply was "No, Thank You" and hung up, not offering any explanation. Very unprofessional in my opinion.

We have taken our dog to them for the past few months and they have been absolutely amazing. No kennels, huge fenced backyard for them to play, and they can roam where they want in the house. Our dog literally runs into their house as soon as we pull up because she loves it so much. I can’t recommend them enough for your doggie daycare or boarding needs!
My dog Molly is 15. In her senior years she is slow and has some special needs. Joyce and Angela go out of their way to make sure she is cared for and every need is met. She loves being there. She evens plays and bonds with the other dogs. When I pull up to their home, Molly can't wait to get to their front door. It is such a blessing knowing she is in such good, caring and loving hands while I'm away.
I stumbled upon Jet Set Pet Sitters when I was in need of both daytime care and boarding while we were in the process of moving. Joyce and Angela are beyond FANTASTIC! They love the dogs as if they were their own. After trying a more traditional boarding facility last summer, I was nervous to leave our pup again. I like to take my little Yorke here to get socialized. Wow, it didn't take long! He runs right up to the door excited to play with others, unlike the vet or groomer. Joyce and Angela are always cheerful lovely ladies who love the hard work that they do. Thanks for accepting Vinnie into your home!

I can’t say enough good things about Petlandia!! Wendy and Nate are so patient with my nervous pup, Roo. They are amazing about checking in; both throughout the day while he’s at daycare and weekly just to bring up occasional behavioral/health concerns. They both obviously care so much about each individual pup, and tailor their care for each dog’s needs! The Petlandia set up is so fun, and highly enriching for an adventurous pup. We only use their daycare services, but they also offer boarding/daily walks which I’m sure we will look into for future needs too! Grace and Roo 🩵 Petlandia!
We were so nervous about leaving our puppy, other dog, and two bunnies for a week over the thanksgiving holiday. We had Bailey come house/pet sit for us, and could not have been happier! Not once did we feel uneasy about our babies being well taken care of. Bailey was extremely communicative, sent us updates and pics daily, and made us feel completely at ease about not being there. "Wendy and her team took such great care of our pup, both for walks and for boarding. He was an older gentleman who didn't always want to get going, and Wendy and her team let him set the pace. I highly recommend without any hesitation." That was my review from over a year ago, one dog ago. Now we have Oakley, a much younger and more energetic head strong girl who is so very well cared for by Wendy and Bailey. They have so much patience and insight into dog behavior. They use positive skills to coach our little one even when she doesn't want to be coached. Consummate professionals, they leave the dog and home in excellent condition with clear communication and frequent photos to let us know how our sweet one is doing when we can't be home with her.
I have used Wendy’s services for both daycare and overnight care and I cannot say enough great things about her! I have a bit of an anxious pup who doesn’t really like playing with other dogs and has separation anxiety. Wendy has done so much to go out of her way to make my dog feel comfortable and cared for. It's not easy to leave your dog when you know she is anxious but Wendy makes it so much easier with frequent texts and photos and by being so gentle and accommodating!
Petlandia Pet Care is legit just the best. I’ve been working with them for 8-ish years and they’ve consistently been professional, communicative, and helpful. Additionally, words truly limit me in expressing my appreciation for their flexibility now, and especially during the pandemic, as my work schedule was unpredictable and changed constantly. When I adopted my Abbey girl, she was super beat up and had clearly experienced some trauma. Now my sweet girl is an arthritic senior pup, who continues to enjoy her unconditional love and pets and walks and treats with the folks from Petlandia. Petlandia is awesome! Wendy is awesome! I did daycare at Petlandia with 2 Shetland Sheepdogs and a Shih tzu. One of my shelties was very shy and scared of new things and people. Wendy worked with Tori and formed a bond with her very quickly. My Shih tzu loved the whole area to explore and play with other pups! She always had the best time. Hunter my older sheltie found his comfy spot and napped. My pups had a week stay with Wendy at Petlandia. I trust and love Wendy like no other dog care person!
Petlandia is wonderful! I have a pit bull/ heeler mix who often has issues with new people. Wendy took the time to get to know her and she is now officially on my dog's best friend list. My husband, myself and our pup just moved to the SE area and we were stressing on finding a doggy daycare. We both work all day and didn’t want our pup to be home alone; he has a lot of anxiety & especially separation anxiety. We found Mary Ellen’s daycare and immediately she sounded like a good fit. We’ve been taking our pup to her for about a month now and it’s been going great! We were really concerned that his anxiety would be an issue and that maybe it’d be a bit much for Mary Ellen, but she quickly dispelled those fears. She’s been working with our pup and helping him adjust to the new routine and has been incredibly kind and patient. We’re so grateful to have found Mary Ellen ☺️☺️☺️
We LOVE Wag Along! Our pup has been going there for a while for daycare and comes home happy and exhausted. We've also boarded her there and had a great experience. Mary Ellen is knowledgeable, flexible and reliable, and it is such a great spot for our pup to spend some time each week! Our girl can be a little nervous to leave us (she grew up during pandemic stay-home orders), but warmed right up to going! I know how much she loves it by her excitement when we pull in for drop off & at the end of the day, she usually doesn't want to leave! We consider Wag Along her second family and highly recommend them for boarding or daycare :)
I feel grateful to have found this day care/boarding location for my pup! I’ve brought my pup there for day care and I’ve boarded her for as long as 5 days. My dog always leaves happy and tired from playing with all the other wonderful dogs. I trust that Mary Ellen keeps a watchful eye over all of the dogs while they are under her care. Mary Ellen is excellent at communicating with me and I feel 100% comfortable leaving my puppy there. I would highly recommend!
Mary Ellen is the best. We always leave our dog with her when we're away and have been doing so since 2016. As soon as we pull up outside her house, she starts whimpering to get out and join her friends. Mary Ellen has two dogs of her own, Margaux and Rou, both wonderful golden retrievers who our dog adores. They're kind of like benevolent older siblings to her. I often think our dog has a better time than we do — home away from home!
I took my anxious 1 year old puppy to Wag Along to try to help with her separation anxiety and socialization. Mary Ellen took extra good care of her and within a few weeks Bootsy was more confident and well behaved and she loves going to see Mary Ellen and to play with the other dogs. I appreciate how very easy drop off and pick up is, and that my pup is still clean at the end of the day. Mary Ellen is kind, responsible and the price is right.
We’ve taken our energetic 1.5 year old heeler Sylvie here since the beginning of the year, been a very positive experience. Space-wise it’s essentially a house & yard, rather than the typical warehouse type areas of other doggy daycares. We appreciate the fact that the owner, Mary Ellen, has been doing this a long time and is very hands-on – it’s good to know our pup’s with someone experienced & who really cares about both the animals & how things are run. She’s flexible and the whole process has been super easy. Price is pretty standard. Our dog is fairly high strung and at first she had a lot of anxiety about being left there. But after a little while she got over it, now it’s fun to watch her excitedly run to Mary Ellen & all her doggy friends in the morning. I think the daycare has actually helped out her maturation process. Mary Ellen sends video clips and/or photos during the day showing them playing & lounging around, which is fun for a doting dog parent like me. The pup comes home happy & tired. We just do part-time right now - to socialize Sylvie & keep her company while the humans work, also to create a familiarity in case we ever have to board her there sometime for travel. Highly recommended.
We love having our Sully with Mary Ellen. We never worry about him when he’s there. We use daycare and board with her when we are out of town. He is always excited to see her and she takes such good care of the pups in her care. Recommend her 110%.
Mary Ellen takes such good care of my baby, I never worry at all when she’s there. My dog was super timid before she started going about a year ago and now she’s so happy to go see her friends each time. Mary Ellen watches a nice variety of sizes and breeds, so she’s exposed to all kinds of dogs, which is helpful for the real world. I literally don’t know what I would do without her. Mary Ellen is amazing, I’ve been trusting her with my dog for a while now. I recently used her for boarding, and she went above and beyond when taking care of my dog. I had to drop off my dog right after being injured and Marry Ellen took her with out hesitating. She gave her her meds and cared for her like I would have. She even sent me frequent updates and pictures to help ease my anxiety. I truly don’t think you will find a more caring pet sitter in the Portland area!
Denise has been taking care of my fur babies for over 2 years. I don’t know what we would do without her. She is dependable, flexible and most of all wonderful with our pets. You can tell she really does love animals. She walks my dogs several times a week. She also takes care of the kitties if we are out of town. Kathryn has taken care of my cat Gibson on two separate occasions. She has come twice a day to administer medications and feed him. She always sends pictures and videos so I can see he is happy and well cared for. It is wonderful to have someone who I can trust and count on.

Best pet sitter in the Portland metro area bar none. Diane has a passion for pets, and unlike some pet sitters she cares for special needs pets as well. My kitty is insulin dependent, and anytime we are leaving town we can trust to Diane to take care of him and make sure he gets all his medicine and insulin. I don't trust many people with my pets, but I trust Diane with mine. She has a passion for pets, and her kennel free boarding for dogs is top-notch. Any time I have to leave town, I can rest easy knowing our pets are well cared for.
