We were warmly welcomed by Grace and Gerald into their home. After keeping in touch prior to our trip we felt as though we all knew each other well. The only prior experience to off grid living was in the motorhome on our travels but in saying that we adjusted quickly to the set up. The two cats Pita and Pata were very easy going and very loving. The kids loved them both and enjoyed giving them a pet and a cuddle. We were able to explore the area while there and even ventured to Valencia and Barcelona on day trips! We were there over the winter period so it was quite cold but they have a woodburner which we used daily and was a great feature for the cool nights. The house itself was surrounded by beautiful mountains and it was a joy to see the sunrise and sunset each day! A great sit for anyone interested off grid living and who wants to explore the Catalonia region of Spain.
Our 16-day house and puppy dog sit was just wonderful. Rob is the perfect, easy-going host. Penny and Eddie are lovable and low maintenance. Rob’s home is beautiful in a quiet area in north Phoenix. There is no shortage of things to see and places to go that are not too far away. We spent time exploring the Cave Creek area which is about 20 minutes away. I highly recommend any sitter to take the opportunity to sit for Rob and his precious puppy dogs. We would love to come back.
What a wonderful sit. Totti & Daphne are adorable, very easy to love & pretty easy to care for. Daph has a special diet due to her kidney problems but Matthew & Wendy left lots of frozen pre-cooked for her, so we just had to reheat it, along with some rice or pasta. Matthew left us great care instructions and was a wonderfully welcoming host - treating us to home cooked lasagna on our arrival, fresh cakes from the artisan patisserie and even fresh farm eggs. The location of the house is ideal, literally slap bang in the centre of town and its a huge property with bags of character, and quite luxurious. We will certainly miss Daphne & Totti and hope to return to this lovely sit.
I had a great time at Brittany’s place with Charlie! The location in Kitsilano was great and communication with her super easy. Charlie has some very specific needs but is overall a really happy energetic dog! He is especially an incredible cyclist hehe. The house itself was very comfortable and I felt home in an instant. Thanks again Brittany!
The pet parents Loren and Raluca were amazing hosts. They welcomed us the day before their departure so we could take our time to learn about them, their doggie Cora, and the pet care routine. We reviewed other logistics, met friendly neighbors (as helpers if needed), and felt at home in this lovely historic town. They were pleasant, communicative, and appreciative of the assistance. The doggie Cora is a bright and alert 10 year old that loves her routines and all the neighborhood snack spots and water dishes. She can lead you around the pre-Civil War streets as she dashes to the treat spots then saunters a few blocks to the the next one or in any direction you choose. She needs to know someone is at home with her and will rest nearby in her favorite spots as you work remotely, watch tv, ready quietly, or hang out in the lovely yard and gardens. She does well in the car too for park, groomer, or vet visits. As long as you are nearby she is like a content grand-baby pup. And she loves her treats (as well-earned rewards). She attaches quickly to her caregiver and will watch and protect you (its just in her nature). She only barks when folks walk by the front gate, at the postal carrier, or to say hello to the neighbor's dogs. Overall this was a lovely housesit and pet care experience. I learned a lot about the history in this Northern Virginia city, enjoyed the friendly walks, local foods, homemade lasgna (Loren's specialty), fast wifi, doggie companionship, and the incredible 1890s Colonial Revival style home with modern amenities, off-street parking and extra yard space with well cared for lawn and gardens.
Amelia's house is located in a very quiet neighborhood and is also a beautiful home where a lot of light enters. Juniper is a very cute kitten and she just needs to get used to you, with a trick she will get closer and it will be easier to get close to her and she is very easy to feed and clean her box. If you like tranquility, it is a beautiful house to stay :)
