We had a fantastic time looking after Roxy and would be delighted to housesit her again. Communication with Monique was great in advance of our sit and the Welcome Pack was really well laid out and provided all the information we could have needed and more. It was good to know the commands Roxy has learnt so far so we could reinforce these and not confuse her. Monique and Dave have a beautiful home which they made us very welcome in and we had the run of the house. Roxy is an absolute joy to spend time with - fun, intelligent, inquisitive and affectionate, it would be very hard not to fall in love with this girl 🐶 Roxy was very well behaved and her recall was good so we quickly felt comfortable letting her off her lead when we were out. It was also helpful that Monique came on a walk with us before her and Dave headed off. The countryside where Roxy, Monique and Dave live is stunning and so many walks to explore right on the doorstep. We have no hesitation recommending Roxy and this housesit and as already stated would do so again if invited. Thanks Monique and Dave for trusting us with your gorgeous Roxy.
My husband and I had a lovely time at Claire and Richard's home. The house was spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed. The dogs, Alan and Arnie were so loving and playful. They were also very well behaved particularly on their walks. Alan needed a couple of trips to the vet, but this was easy enough as it's just around the corner. Doodles and Wizard were adorable - doodles enjoyed lots of evening cuddle time on the sofa. Wizard was more independent, but did come for a cuddle on the last day. Aurora is the tiniest hamster you've ever seen, and super cute. Not much looking after required for her, but we did catch her for a few cuddles throughout our stay. The girls in the office were all friendly and helpful too. Thanks to Claire and Richard for everything :)
Carolyn and Dave welcomed us into their home and pet family by inviting us for a lovely dinner. During the evening we discussed the responsibilities for all the pets including dogs, cats a tortoise and a cute hamster called Peach. They gave us detailed notes about all the critters including taking care of the chickens. While they were away, if there were any concerns about the pets the responded quickly and provided the feedback we needed. The accuracy of the listing could of included more information about the daily responsibilities for looking after the pets. In our opinion this sit would be better suited for 2 people to care for all of the animals. We enjoyed spending time with all the cats and dogs as they were affectionate. The 2 Pyrenees dogs( Gimley and Ester) who had puppies together in the past were enjoyable to watch as they were so playful and loving. We hope to visit this pet family again to reunite with the cats and dogs!
Bailey and Islay were a treat to look after! They are very self sufficient and happy to hang out with each other, but also seemed relaxed with us around the house. They are food driven and well-trained, and know some pretty cool tricks - very chill pets to look after :) Gina and Mike have a lovely home in Central Edinburgh, they were welcoming and provided all of the info we needed to take good care of Islay and Bailey. They were responsive over WhatsApp should we have any questions - we would recommend this sit!!
Very nice family, large and comfortable house, friendly dog, good location, easy traveling. We should not wish better sitting. Definitely recommend for dog and house sitters.
Julianne, Nick and pup Lucca live in a beautiful house in a quiet neighborhood. Lucca is friendly, well behaved, playful and easy to take care of. He loves walks, his toys, and to run around in the backyard. The house has everything you could possibly need and is very attractive and architecturally unique. It is in a quiet corner, backed by open space which makes it peaceful. Neighbors are friendly. Julianne and Nick are communicative and left instructions for Lucca’s care and care of the property. They were easy to reach and quick to respond when I had questions.
