Brad and Eileen could not be better people. We absolutely loved our time at their place. It is beautiful, charming and everything you could hope for in a PNW home. Hugo is an amazing dog as well he quickly became part of our family and we already miss him. We had an amazing month there and would go back in an instant!
We had such a nice time meeting Jacqui, Thomas, their child, and Zuma! Their lovely flat has a beautiful view of the snow-capped Vaudois Alps, is sparkling clean, comfortable, and quiet. They invited us to stay the night before their early a.m. departure, and generously offered us some wine for a nitecap. Communication was very detailed and Jacqui makes a great effort to inform you of any important information you might need for your stay. There area is beautiful, absolutely no doubt. Easy access to the central village of Villars with groceries, restaurants, the small and lovely spa, ski areas, hiking, and all you would need. It was off season (May) so was very quiet and many things were still closed, but that was perfect for us. Still can get anything you might need. Zuma is such a cute sweet boy that lets you know if he needs something hehe he loves being nearby and to be pet, rubbed, massaged, cuddled. He loves playing with his pals he meets in a nearby field every morning, and has great endurance for hikes and long walks. You will need to be strong to be able to hold him back on the leash if he sees a cat, as he is a big boy! Luckily we didn't run into any kitties haha Overall he was very gentle and calm. He comes back and follows if you call him, though he might play stubborn at first ;) He LOVES sticks and will try to bring the biggest one he can find home. It's really fun and adorable to see his funny personality. We loved him so much! Thank you to Jacqui and Thomas for trusting us with Zuma and their home! I would 100% recommend staying with Zuma.
So thankful to have sat for Amy and her partner. They are so kind to their sitters and I felt at home immediately when I walked in. I already miss Eggrole so much. Eggrole is such a delight to take care of and be around. Anyone who stays here is privileged!
I had an excellent time at Tamara’s place in Bend with Luna & Scout! I got to meet Tamara on the night before she headed out, and she gave me a great walkthrough of all the kitty care/was happy to answer any questions, and she also left a super detailed written guide. The cats are very sweet and easy to care for, and I loved it when Luna curled up on my chest when I lay on the couch in the evenings! Tamara’s home is clean and comfortable, and also in a convenient location. She left a great list of recs for all types of things to do in Bend, and I had the best time checking out the nature and hikes in the surrounding area. I would definitely recommend this sit!
