Brianna and Aaron were amazing! I highly recommend them. Before they even arrived for the sit they had read through my care guide thoroughly. They followed all my instructions precisely. They were great communicators and left my place very tidy.
This was one of my favorite pet sits so far - Crissy was so kind and Choja was the sweetest, easiest dog I've cared for - I miss him already! Crissy's home is very clean and cute, and a short walk from the Beach and the cute shops/restaurants on Abbot Kinney. I would sit for her again anytime!
Willie and I had a wonderful sit at Susie's and Chris's beautiful home! They were warm and welcoming when we arrived, made a delicious supper and dessert for us, and made sure we were quite comfortable with the house and sweet Tobie the cat before they headed out on their holiday. They let us know about the best transportation routes and options, and recommended great places to visit both in Heswall and Liverpool. House is very easy to care for, and Tobie is so self-sufficient! Warmed up to us after the first couple of days, then brought us a couple of 'gifts'..lol! Neighbourhood is very pretty and quiet, and we enjoyed our walks to the nearby bus stop, chatting to some interesting people along the way. Both Susie and Chris answered any and all questions we had by text, very promptly, and completely, and both Willie and I felt quite at ease in the home. We feel very fortunate have to been chosen to sit for them, and highly recommend them. We had a lovely time, and definitely will keep in touch..thank you!
Staying with Porter and Miso was a wonderful relaxing retreat in the mountains north of Asheville. Both pets are very low maintenance and wonderful company and Porter is one of the best behaved dogs I've had the pleasure to sit for. I honestly think he understands the english language! He also made a great hiking partner to explore all of the amazing trails nearby including the AT! Laura was easy to communicate with and provided clear directions to follow for the duration of the sit. This sit is best suited for someone looking to get away from city life and to disconnect and embrace the quiet peacefulness of being in the country. The house itself had all the necessities such as highspeed wifi and laundry, but if you are the type who needs a TV or lots of modern conveniences, this might not be a great fit. However, if like me, you enjoy quite mornings reading on the porch and are looking to do lots of hiking and outdoor exploration, then this is a great sit. While being within 10min of some of the best hiking trails in the area and 15min to Hot Springs, the location is also within 10min of Marshall for groceries and 35 min to Asheville.
I sat for Charlotte for about 10 days and what a wonderful sit it was. Charlotte was very welcoming kind and friendly. Communication was excellent before and during the sit. Charlotte's home is really comfortable and has all mod cons. The guest bedroom with en-suite was excellent. The location Staveley is amazing, very close to Kendal, Windermere, Ambleside and the rest of the Lake District. If you like walking I strongly recommend you do some walks from Staveley, they are excellent. The village has a great coffee shop, pub and of course a convenience store. Supermarkets can be found a few miles away in Kendal. Martha and Dexter are beautiful cats and no trouble at all. They will let you know when they want something and will get to know you in there own time :) They will enjoy some love and attention and of course belly rubs :) If you want a wonderful host, in a 5 star location with 2 adorable cats then I definitely recommend this sit for you!
What a wonderful experience we had with Larry & Pat, we have new friends for life! From our first contact with Larry & Pat they were very responsive. We scheduled a 1/2 hour FaceTime which turned into over an hour b/c we got along so well and had many of the same interests. Paula and I traveled in two days early b/c logistically it worked out better with both of our flights and to make the transition easier as Larry & Pat were departing early in the morning for their trip. This really helped with the transition and made the pets much more comfortable. And I'd like to just mention, Pat woke up early and taught me how to make homemade bagels. They were outstanding by the way and she is an unbelievable chef. which leads me to my next point, the house is equipped with all the cookware you would every need. All pots, pans, utensils, spices, a giant grill, and hey, even a smoker for good measure. Larry & Pat left very detailed instructions on care for the pets and their beautiful home, as well as all emergency contacts. The house is beautiful, immaculately maintained, and easy to take care of. The backyard is tranquil and a great place to hang with Todd. It's located in a beautiful & safe neighborhood with tons of walking paths. The cats, Buddy & Holly are as sweet as can be. They are indoor cats and love spending a lot of time on your lap. The dog, Todd, a Coon Hound, is fun to play with and great to take on hikes all around the area. And let's not forget about the 25 year old dove Red. Quite sweet and very easy to care for. A little water and food every day and always a hello sweetie everytime you pass by his aquarium. We already miss them! They are all very well behaved and very easy to take care of. Overall this house/petsitting experince with Larry & Pat and their pets was outstanding. We highly recommend them and would definetly sit for them again. Paula & Gerry
Ryan and Jasmin have been wonderful, welcoming and warm and extremely supportive all throughout the process from the very beginning. We had an excellent time with sweet Wolfie and the chicken were no hassle at all. Ryan and Jasmin were always reachable and responded quickly to every question. They even created a high level home guide which included elaborate instructions and tips for things to do in the area. We loved being there and will definitely return given the opportunity. Thank you for your generosity and friendship!
