The night before their departure, Bill and Sam welcomed us into their home with a wonderful dinner, providing us with a thorough orientation of the house and pets. During our stay we managed to keep in contact with them on What’s App. Doggies Oscar and Wally are 2 affectionate fun loving buddies who enjoy their walks, meal time and fetching. Kitty Smudge is a typical cat, mostly aloof except for the occasional affectionate moment. Their home is spacious and comfortable, providing an outdoor pool during warm weather. Their location provides much to explore in surrounding communes, wineries, and countryside.
We are hopeful to return in the future. Thank you Bill and Sam

Linda was a lovely host. She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable in her home. Kafka is an angel, I absolutely loved looking after her and would happily do so again!

Are you an organized, communicative, and creative animal lover? Kim's three dogs and four cats (a feral kitty showed up!) are ready to share some fun with you! What a gorgeous home full of contentment and comforts as well as beauty like stained glass and wood carvings. We appreciated the guidance in Kim's extensive guide detailing each animal, their unique routine/care, as well as typical farm support (mail, fish, chickens, birds, indoor plants, etc.) Mornings were a little hectic to ensure correct medications and individual breakfast prep. Young Penny's electronic Halo system collar gave her maximum freedom to run in the back fields with AJ for daily exercise. Older Winnie enjoyed the sun as well as her dips in the pond. Jock, the dachshund, was king of attention partly because of his separation anxiety. We were extra attentive to Jock because the week before we arrived he had a spontaneous spinal injury. We appreciated Kim's trust that we would give Jock attentive care to ensure his spine could continue to heal. Jock lay at our feet during the day and during breaks we cuddled him in a sarong and our coats. Like many small dogs, he enjoys being swaddled and tucked. Be ready to sleep with Jock - he does not want it any other way and neither did we as he was quite endearing. The animals were all sweet and gentle and always came when called. Tip for chicken feeding - when you prepare their feed try not to drop food in the barn as it could attract pests. In summary, we felt warmly welcomed at her farm and highly recommend Kim's home and animals to you. This is a perfect sit for a couple wanting a taste of full busy farm life. Kim is a five-star host and thoughtfully supported our efforts to help Jock sleep and play safe. We continue to fall in love with Cathlamet with this sit and hope to see Kim's whole gang again soon.

This housesit was an absolute five. The home is welcoming, well organized, and clean. The welcome guide is very, very complete including very helpful advice about where to walk and where not to walk Watson. Nicholas is a good communicator and quickly available if there is a problem. I you fancy hiking, this is a great sit. But the best part of this sit is Watson. If there is a better dog than Watson, I have yet to find him. He is large and strong, but gentle. I loved the way he would come in 2 or 3 times every night to check on me as I slept and then wander back to the living room and how he put his head in my lap as I read at night. If I could have left the sit with Watson in my suitcase, I would have. Would I sit here again? YES in a minute.

We have just finished a lovely 6 night stay with Bailey, Basil and Benson, and feel so lucky to have landed this sit! Bailey is such a friendly, affectionate and sweet-natured creature. He was a charming and relaxing presence at home but takes on an entirely different persona when out for a walk - he LOVES a good run about and will go until he tires himself out! We really enjoyed our morning and evening walks together, and with Reigate Hills, the heath, and Priory Park at your fingertips you don't need to worry about walking the same route twice a day everyday. Benson and Basil were more elusive but made an appearance from time to time to curl up on our laps and indulge in a back rub or head scratch.

Bailey, Benson and Basil's routine is very straightforward and easy to follow. If you happen to loose track of time in the evening, they will definitely remind you when it's dinner time!

Julie and Richard's house in Reigate is a homely oasis. You have all the comforts you could possibly need, and the kitchen will be heaven for anyone who enjoys cooking! A few minutes walk away is the town centre where you will find a plethora of eateries, coffeeshops, supermarkets, boutiques, thrift stores and cinemas.

We had a fantastic time in Reigate and highly recommend this sit to anyone in the future!
