We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with our first house sit. We made some magical bonds with all of Sarah’s animals, from the sheep to the donkeys, to Malcolm the bearded dragon, their cats and all of their dogs, especially Max and Fudge. It was certainly work, but work of the best and most fulfilling kind. We loved waking up on their farm and taking walks and runs with the dogs. Caherdaniel is a special place, and their farm is one of the best I’ve visited to date. Sarah and her family welcomed us into their home a day early and broke bread with us, accommodating our diet restrictions without hesitation. Sarah even left special snacks for us to enjoy during our stay at the farm. She and her family are one in a million, just like the housesit experience was for us - we’ll never forget it. We feel lucky to have been picked as caretakers for her animals and her home. Thanks again, Sarah!
This was a wonderful experience cat sitting for Adam and Siran! A Whatsapp group was created before the sit and I was invited over to meet Jean Paul and Mao Mao before the sit started, which made me feel very safe, secure and welcome ! Jean Paul and Mao Mao are wonderful kitties to look after, they are both playful, curious and love being stroked once you've earned it :) They have an abundance of toys and a wheel they love running on. I also enjoyed watching them run up and down the spiral staircase and speak to each other as they went. Everything was so well prepared and Adam and Siran left me a very generous basket of welcome gifts to enjoy, and responded almost immediately to messages. Adam and Siran are located very central with many exciting places to visit just on the doorstep. They have a varied selection of different places to eat seconds away from the house, and their house itself is beautifully clean, warm, welcoming and well equipped for anything you might need ! I am looking forward to seeing them all again very soon, thank you for a wonderful time :-D
Thank you Claire for inviting us to sit for you. We had a fabulous time looking after Skampi, Moss and though we didn't see much of her - Lucky :-) and of course your home. The cats are such characters and we loved them all, each one different. The country side in the area is beautiful, plenty of walks to be had. We were made to feel very welcome right from the start and communication was excellent all the way through. If the opportunity to sit again comes up, we wouldn't hesitate. This was definitely one of our favourite sits. I met with Catherine a few days before she & Philip headed off and warmed to her immediately. She made me feel very welcome in the beautiful house just outside of Gillingham, and she spent time showing me around and talking me through everything I needed to know before the sit began. My son & I loved Alfie & Milo - they are such beautiful, affectionate and companionable cats. They were so easy to look after and were just lovely to spend time with. Catherine & Philip’s house is such a lovely, calm and comfortable place to spend time - we feel at home and very relaxed as soon as we arrived. And we loved spending time in the beautiful wooden & glass kitchen extension with its floor to ceiling windows overlooking the garden with the Shaftesbury hills in the background. The house was sparkling clean when we arrived and Catherine had been so kind & thoughtful preparing everything for our stay which was really appreciated. In fact, we loved this sit so much we both agreed we wished it was longer than just a weekend! And we are looking forward to looking after Alfie & Milo again whenever Catherine & Philip go away.
Lisa's house is lovely and so is the location! We were highly entertained by the goats & chickens, and the pups were sweet as can be.
