Milo is a gorgeous, cuddly Burmese, graceful, friendly and charming. We miss him already The house is amazing, the location is fabulous, we could not recommend this sit and these lovely people more.
This is the kind of sit that all sitters wish for on THS: Mary and Rich were gracious and welcoming, their cats were healthy and sweet, and their home beautifully comfortable. Mary's carefully assembled notebook covered every house question I might have, and I felt fully oriented by the time they left. Tuck and Tink were shy at first, but very willing to be friends with me after the first day. Tink turned into a lap-sitter once she got used to me, and Tuck was happy to be petted and talked to. The sitter gets the whole lower level of the house as sleeping quarters, which includes a sitting room, half bath, and spacious bedroom with kingsized bed. The main level of the house is full of light, with a stunning water view and an absolutely perfect kitchen. And there's a hot tub on the front porch! Sitters will need a car. Grocery stores and town are too far away to easily walk to and public transportation doesn't exist out there. On the other hand, a beach on Discovery Bay is only about a one-and-a-half-block stroll from the house. I would love to sit for Mary and Rich again, if our schedules coincide.
Fiona welcomed me into her home and was comfortable with leaving her lovely cottage, garden, hens and dogs in my care. She was off on adventurous travel to exotic places. Fiona kindly continued with deliveries of milk, eggs and the daily paper. I found West Acre a good location for touring North Norfolk with easy access to the coast. There were amazing walks from the house through woodland and along the river, crossing a ford to Castle Acre or the dogs were happy travelling by car just a couple of miles to their regular places. I can recommend this sit for a peaceful time with 2 easy going, affectionate dogs.
We highly recommend this pet sit because Luna is an amazing and beautiful cat. Luna's disposition is highly social, affectionate and playful; she is also a very cuddly and loving cat and she really likes to be brushed. Her behaviour was highly predictable as she followed her daily routines for supervised tethered exploration time in the garden, walking on leash around the yard, and playing with her favourite toys. Luna is an absolute delight and we enjoyed every minute with her. Henri and Lucie are outstanding communicators and provided clear directions for Luna's care, so we knew exactly how to maintain Luna's routines and schedule. It is a beautiful home and garden in a lovely neighbourhood. This was an ideal pet sit for us and we would love to look after Luna again. Thanks so much, Henri and Lucie!
Steven and Liz made me feel right at home. They were sure to leave detailed instructions as to how to care for Lomas , there kitty, as well as all the ins and outs of their home. Steve and Liz were kind enough to also leave a list of hiking and sites to see in and around their home as well as neighbors that could be a resource in case of emergency. Lomas, their kitty, loves to lay in the sun outdoors during the day and come inside at night. At night Lomas will settle into his favorite spot on the couch and keep you company. He is independent and does not like a lot of snuggles but will let you know he wants some attention. This house sit was a pleasure and I would love to be able to care for Lomas again as Steve and Liz are gracious hosts.
My sit at Waterford was very nice. Lucky is a very good boy, the communication with the owners was great. I recommend 👍👌
