What a precious kitty Priscilla is! At 17 she is wise soul who knows what she wants. While she takes alone time behind the sofa- her private space- she came out almost immediately to talk to me when I arrived, and was quite the hostess. She is very chatty, lovable and funny. She will let you know when she wants her pets, brushing and attention. She was great company, sitting next to me on the sofa to watch 40s flics on the tv, requesting snax, when she felt they'd been forgotten and following me room to room with her opinions. I loved sitting for Priscilla! Mark's home is clean and comfortable and in a great location. His instructions were clear, his response to texts for clarification were prompt, and he wrote me a fabulous list of near by places to eat. The apt is in Andersonville which is great fun, and is walking distance to public transportation as well. Thank you , Mark.
Our stay in Sale was absolutely wonderful. First of all we had a Facetime-Call with Maureen and Bruce where they explained everything really well to us. They told us we could come earlier and even stay longer, if we want to. In addition they said we can use their car to explore the surroundings. We arrived by train in Sale where they picked us up and were welcomed by a nice dinner and some good wine. Bruce explained everything very well on how to take care of their pets and house. Maureen was so kind to leave us all details, so we could use their streaming services. Holly (the older dog) was a dream of a dog, Mali (the younger dog) is playful, very energetic and was sometimes a challenge, nevertheless she was lovely. Archie the cat was the guardian of the house with a proud age of 21 years. She needed lots of water and food (and sometimes demanded cuddles). Maureen left us contact details of their good friend David - with whom we had a lovely time whilst he showed us around Sale. On the last days of our stay after Bruce and Maureen came home, we again had the pleasure of experiencing Bruce‘s cooking skills. All in all we felt very safe and comfy. We can recommend them from the bottom of our hearts and would do another sit anytime!
Alane was a lovely and welcoming host, and took the time to ensure I was comfortable and knew the lay of the land! And Freddie is a really affectionate and sweet cat, I miss him already. A great neighborhood, great building, great pet and I felt very at home - can't recommend this sit enough!
Peaks Island is gorgeous and Micheal and Jenny were wonderful hosts and guides to the island. Caring for Keano was a pleasure; every morning we would do the island loop and then wade in the ocean in the afternoon. Their home is cozy and the island is peaceful and serene - there are very few cars everyone walks or bikes. Micheal and Jenny are so generous; they offered me the use of their truck and bikes (I loved doing the island loop on a bike). The island has everything you need: art galleries, restaurants, grocery store , museums. This is why I signed up with TH - for really special experiences like this!
Hazel and Dennis are the perfect hosts, friendly, generous and organised, and we thoroughly enjoyed our house sit in their beautiful home in the picturesque village of Abbotts Ann. Their home is central to so many amazing historical sites, such as Winchester/Salisbury Cathedrals, Stonehenge and the New Forest to name just a few. Missy Moo and Spike are independent cats so we had lots of time to explore the area, but could still enjoy a cuddle in the evening while watching their huge TV. A definite 5 star sit.
So grateful to have such a beautiful first pet sitting experience with THS! Savannah and Luke are wonderful and great with communication. Super friendly and welcoming! Lots of info told in person and left on a notepad for us to go through for both the cats and places of interest in the neighbourhood. The house is gorgeous! It’s very well decorated and comfortable - we settled in so quickly! Ned and Effy are such cuties! Effy was very welcoming on arrival and such a sweetie. Ned is a bundle of energy!! Throughly enjoyed looking after these two they both are so entertaining and lovely.
