I would highly recommend the experience of sitting for sweet little KitKat. She was such a delight, super friendly and snuggly, and funny too. My husband almost fell over in shock when he turned around and saw her walking on two legs pushing a little pram! Lots of zoomies and happy to play a game, but not a demanding cat at all. The house is beautiful with gorgeous living spaces and a lovely pool in a quiet area. Super clean, if I lived in Newcastle I’d definitely be poaching their cleaner! Bed was comfy and it was a great place to stay. It’s not far to Lake Macquarie where there are lots of walks to do (and Pippis restaurant) and also close to Charlestown square if you want shopping (and bao buns and yum cha!). We also went into the city and had an excellent lunch at Rustica. Plus you can stock up on the best cupcakes at Cupcake Expresso. Tracy was also really organised and easy to deal with, we would have loved to do the longer sit they have coming up, but are away then, hopefully we will be back for more weekend sits in the future.
We had the privelege of getting to know Jasper, Mila, Oscar and Dennis at this house sit. The instructions for looking after the pets and feeding them were very clear. The dogs had been socialised well, loved going out on their daily walks and were very friendly towards other dogs and children. Dennis and Oscar are adorable and enjoyed human company too. The house was immaculate and the communication with the owner was prompt, especially when we had to take Oscar to the vet. We highly recommend the pet parents, Marty and Jen, and would pet-sit for them again.
The pigs were super fun to hang out with. They are very sweet and are always demanding attention. The Guinea pigs were also super cute and warmed up to me after a couple days. The works not difficult once you get the morning routine down.
We had a great stay with Beverly and Ralph who are very friendly people. They had prepared a document with places to visit, recommendations for taking care of their cats and information about the house. We felt right at home. It was not difficult to take care of Inky who needed to has an injection morning and evening. Hidey is very discreet. We hardly didn't see her of our stay. It was really a pleasure to meet them. ☺️
The whole experience was awesome! Carolyn thank you so much for letting me stay in your home with your lovely pups Max and Tucker. I miss them already. Thank you so much for taking me to the kayak spot and to the beach and the hospitality! I was lucky enough to go to the beach multiple times by taking the ferry over during my stay. Carolyn was wonderful and the neighborhood is beautiful and pristine. Lots of nature and trees around. Even saw Carlos the gator in the lake one day as he was swimming around after the rain. I had a great time and bonded with the pups! They were very happy to have my dog Coco to play together during those three weeks together. I would highly recommend housesitting for Carolyn as this was an awesome experience! I’m very happy :) thank you so much!
A lovely sit at Hayden’s place with buzzy and adorable Jake and sweet beauty Luna! I had a great couple of days with them both, and felt especially honored to have them both curl up next to me on the couch :))) Super clear instructions from Hayden, a wonderful location, and just an all around cool and laidback sit!
