This was our first sit using THS. Nick and Naomi were warm and friendly from the initial face to face meeting online. Communication was excellent. We arrived the day before and were welcomed into their beautiful home. Nick gave us a tour of the house and introduced us to the gorgeous labs Inka and Winnie. We were very lucky - Nick and Naomi kindly allowed us to bring our lab Ralph along for the sit. The three of them got on famously. Young Winnie took a real shine to Ralph! We spent the first evening enjoying a lovely supper with these fabulous hosts. Naomi had put together a book containing all that we needed to know about the day to day running of the house. Our bedroom was stunning. We had our own en suite. For such a large property - the house was always warm and has a very homely feel. The village is idillic. Very rural. Beautiful walks from the door. As for the dogs - Inka enjoyed a gentle stroll on the park or around the field. No more than 15 mins a day was enough. Winnie being a younger dog will walk all day. Great recall too. We fell in love with them both and we’re very sad to say goodbye. Mark and I had a wonderful stay and would return given the opportunity.
Linda and Ian's house-sitting was our 10 th experience and the first one in France. We loved it. We had a very nice evening with them before they left and we get on very well. We were very happy to share another meal on their return. Youn and Linda had time for a painting session they both appreciated. Linda and Ian are very welcoming and lovely people. We are very happy to consider them as friends by now. They have lots of animals but everything is so well organized that it makes it very easy to manage. The cats are very independent but very happy to have an evening cuddle lap party. The two dogs are very obedient. And though Daisy seems to be full of energy she listens very well and just loves being with people. Daisy and Jessie both play very kindly and it's much fun to look at them ! The property is big enough for them to have enough play, runs and walks. Ian and Linda's house is very confortable, as well as gorgeous : it is an old house that has been renovated with a lot of respect to his history. The area where they live is full of pretty villages to discover, nice markets and good food and wine : what else do you need ? Thank you so much Ian and Linda for having us. It is definitely a house-sit we highly recommend… but first we keep it for us and are looking forward to going again next may !
What an amazing first experience with Trustedhousitters! Jenny and Gary are a great couple with a beautiful home in a stunning setting. Add in three great pets; Troy, Nellie and Chili and it was a dream sit. Their home is so well maintained, clean and comfortable, waking to a beautiful sunrise over the mountains, hiking Stowe Pinnacle which you can see from their yard and then relaxing in the hot tub at night. What more could I ask for. I loved driving the dogs down to Stowe’s Quiet Path where dogs can be off leash, walking around beautiful farmland and dipping our toes/paws into the river. And Stowe Center is just a 5 minute drive away with lots of shops and restaurants and a grocery store too. I loved my six weeks in Stowe surrounded by mountains, a beautiful part of our country Thank you Gary and Jenny!!
Spencer and Shane were delightful hosts - they were clear, communicative, and so helpful. Their home is absolutely beautiful and in a great neighborhood with lots to eat and do. Now Violet - the star of the show - is the BEST. She LOVES a good snuggle and if she was not on her dog bed then she was guaranteed to be scooched up against me. She is such a goofball and hilarious when she wants you to know something. I miss her already!!!
It was such a pleasure to house sit with Buddy. He is such an easygoing pooch, great company and well behaved. His routine was very simple and fuss-free. The house was immaculately tidy with a comfortable clean bedroom. Susie was available for the low-level comms we had and was appreciative of Buddy being in safe hands. Great location - open park and beach nearby with the New Forest just a short car ride away. Buddy was happy to be in the car without fuss. Would fully recommend this house sit to other sitters.
Lionell was SUCH a good boy! He is so friendly, cuddly, and has the best personality. He walks super easy and is very low maintenance. And, Nam’s house is the perfect location for anyone looking to spend sometime in LA.
