I cannot say enough good things about this sit!! Annalyse and Matt are two of the most genuinely kind and gentle humans you will ever meet. Their home reflects that very part of their nature too. It is the ultimate peaceful sanctuary! We arrived an hour before their departure to have a tour of the home. We even went on a short walk together with the dogs. They took their precious dog, Salty, on this trip but what a sweet and happy boy he is! I can tell that he would be a joy to care for. We had the pleasure of caring for their cat, Lucky, and their flock of chickens. The responsibilities were easy and satisfying. Lucky was a bit suspicious for the first 3-5 days but then she warmed right up and asked for pets regularly. She goes outside most of the day and comes in her own in the evening by patiently waiting at the door. The first few nights we had to bring her in but she was always just hanging on the back patio. Super chill and easy cat. She and our senior pup peacefully coexisted for 3 weeks together! The chickens were so fun to care for! They would just cluck away when I came down each morning to bring them produce scraps as treats. They have a great set up with a water bucket hooked to the hose and a door that automatically locks them in at dusk. Brilliant!! The best part is we got 2-5 fresh eggs every day in return for our minor duties! Delish!! They have a second coop with some adolescent chickens that are just as easy to care for. Aside from the animals, there are many plants to water inside and a few outside and that’s about it. Like I said the home is peaceful, beautiful, comfortable and clean. You are walking distance to the few shops and restaurants in Graton. Plus there is a walking/ biking path walking distance as well. It’s a really beautiful area! Sebastapol is a short drive away and has everything you could need. We loved going to Doran beach in Bodega Bay and The Grove of old trees to walk among the Redwoods! Both are 20-30 minutes away. All this to say that we highly recommend this sit if you like fabulous humans, fabulous animals in a fabulous location!! Thank you Matt and Annalyse for sharing your lil slice of paradise with us!!
Truffle is a most affectionate dog with an easy routine and she is a good walking companion. Caroline and Brook made me most welcome and gave very clear instructions regarding care of Truffle and their home. They live in a beautiful and comfortable home with a large garden and are a short walk away from Wareham. There are many lovely walks nearby and it is only a short drive away to many lovely beach walks, such as, Swanage, Studland, Poole etc. Highly recommended, I hope to return. I had a really lovely time. Barny is a friendly little guy. Luke and Maddy were really welcoming and communication was great.
This was a wonderful sit with a lovely location overlooking a large green space. Big Meany and Flurry were friendly and easy. Veronica provided great communication and was understanding of my car breakdown-my first issue ever! And I especially appreciated the thorough instructions for care of the fish and cats.
Staying with Mocha 🐱 was such a treat! Celyna‘s home was just as described. It is a beautiful apartment overlooking downtown Phoenix. She was very hospitable and organized. She was intentional about communicating everything I would need to know about caring for Mocha 🐱…such a sweet cat!! I hope to return in the future!
