I had a great weekend looking after Eric and Ernie. I spent an evening with Jane, Martin and George before they left. They were very welcoming and thoughtful and made me feel right at home. Jane kept in touch daily via FaceTime. Eric and Ernie are very cute and were easy to look after. The house is beautiful, spacious and comfortable, and Sway is lovely! My favourite thing about the whole house is the gorgeous bath - bring bubble bath if you're doing a sit here! I would love to come back in the summer to make full use of the beautiful garden.
It was a pleasure to sit for Chloe and take care of Howard and Keith. They are both such fantastic cats, very friendly and warm, definitely some of the loveliest ones I had the pleasure to spend time with. The communication with Chloe went very good, the instructions I got were clear and overall I had such a lovely stay. I would gladly come back for other times as well!
We had a lovely time looking after Mia. She was so well behaved with a beautiful temperament. Annie and David were most welcoming and left us everthing that we needed for the sit. Looking forward to our future sit! Kay and David
Great location and sit. Fred was very sad to see Sheila leave him as he obviously adores his owner. He took a bit to warm up to me and with it being a short sit I only started to see him come out of his shell on the final night. He’s an absolute chiller - easy on the lead and happy to hang out and bask in the sun during the day. Amazing location with the ferry to other islands making it a great spot to explore. Sheila was kind enough to take me to the train station on my final day as well which was lovely.
I had the most wonderful time staying at Laurie's house and watching Piper. Laurie is a seasoned host and was a fantastic communicator. The day before my sit was to begin, I went over to her house and she showed me all the ropes, so I felt really at ease in her home and with Piper right from the beginning. Over the course of my stay, she was always quick at answering my questions and we had a really wonderful and fun rapport about Piper, her house, etc. Laurie's house is really lovely and sweet. It has an incredible deck that looks out at Lake Washington and on a clear day, Mount Rainier! It's a perfect place to barbecue, read a book, or of course, hang out with Piper. As for Piper, he is an extremely special dog. Even though he was only 1 year old at the time of my stay, Piper is extremely docile, mature, sensitive, sweet, and ridiculously smart. He was an amazing walking companion and he and I would walk for hours through Laurie's beautiful neighborhood. He is also one of the most athletic dogs I've ever met! He is amazing at playing catch and LOVES swimming (which is very convenient because there is a great place to take him for a dip about a 10-minute walk from Laurie's house). He was so easy-going. He could play fetch all day, but when you put the ball down, he's totally happy to hang out and take a nap by your feet. He is just the sweetest, most loving and lovable puppy, kind and warm to every human and dog he meets. Piper is clearly extremely adored and very well trained. I reallly connected with him and hope for the opportunity to watch him again. For any dog lovers who want the opportunity to experience the beauty of the PNW and hang out with a truly special dog, this is a one-of-a-kind housesitting opportunity!
Christine and Rob are amazing. They dearly love their pets and understandably so. I looked forward to taking their dogs on their walks every day. They are well-behaved and adorable! The cat Maggie is sweet and chill. Christine and Rob left impeccable directions for every step of the way. The apartment is very clean and organized and has everything you need in a great area near the beach. I would be happy to care for these sweeties again.
