I loved housesitting for Lindsey! Offley is such a cutie and the two weeks I spent with him flew by. He’s gentle on a leash and great with other dogs and people. Lindsey’s apartment is spacious, comfortable, and located in one of the best neighborhoods in Denver — super walkable and close to restaurants, bars, fitness studios, parks, etc. Lindsey is a wonderful host and easy to communicate with. Handoff was seamless. I would housesit here again in a heartbeat. Thank you for having me!
Rebecca and Mark can best be described with a quick story. Before my housesit with their wonderful pets, we had a couple of meet and greets to introduce their animals to my pup, go over the routine and their home, walk the trails around the property, etc. We had planned to do this late one morning on my way back from another housesit. Well the other housesit was a disappointment for many reasons and I needed to leave extremely early (and without coffee!) because of the owners’ covid exposure. So I called Mark and Rebecca to see if I could come earlier than we had planned. Rebecca insisted I come for breakfast and they welcomed me so warmly, they immediately restored my faith in TH! Their gracious, kind and welcoming spirit continued throughout the housesit. They have a lovely home and property and make sure guests are comfortable with an extensive kitchen, comfortable bed, treats from the garden—the list goes on and on! And then of course let’s not forget about the furry hosts! I became completely and totally enamored with Kate and took many trips down to the barn just to say hello to her and Ruby who’s also wonderful. Note I have very little experience around horses but the routine was easy and I always had a barn door or gate between me and these powerful beauties. Pusa seemed to really warm up to us even though my pup Camp and Xena tried everything to get her to play with them. And yes Xena is an irresistible little puppers that will surely steal your heart though she mostly paid attention to my pup/her new bestie. Ha! And even though Zoey only stayed with us a couple of days, she has a wise and loving personality about her and I actually asked Rebecca and Mark if I could keep her the whole time if I’m back for another house sit in the future. So all in all it’s a big yes on these pets, owners and housesit.
For those of you considering a pet sit with Sugar, she’s an amazing dog, great disposition, great on leash and somewhat of a neighborhood celebrity. We were impressed with how many people we met while walking her … everyone knows Sugar! Then there are the hosts, Sara and Chris, who were so welcoming. The communication pre-visit and during our stay was awesome, with frequent texts promptly replied to. And upon arrival, we were given a full tour of their house and recommendations on Sugar’s favorite places to visit … Dog Beach is a must! Their beautifully renovated home is a great hangout, with a well-appointed kitchen and large island. But our favorite spot was the front porch, with bench swing, hanging out with Sugar and getting to meet so many wonderful neighbors. Then there’s beautiful Coronado, with great walkability to restaurants, shops and the Hotel del Coronado. Additionally, the ferry to San Diego is a short walk away. Sara, Chris and family, we can’t thank you enough for allowing us into your beautiful home and allowing us to spend time with Sugar! Our visit was exceptional!
Porto and Kummel are dream dogs: affectionate, not barky, lovely friendly little chaps. Jenny's house is as wonderful as it looks and the area is great for exploring. Walks are from the doorstep through fields and past churches, streams and weirs. Langport is lovely, and The Bridge Canteen and The Old Dairy in nearby Martock are both great. An outstanding housesitting experience! Thanks x
My time at Anam Cara was very special. I received the most warmest of welcomes, a guided tour of the local dog walks and was presented with a welcome guide packed with useful info. The beauty of Co.Donegal is well documented, and Brinlack and the surrounding area certainly delivers, it is simply stunning. The sea views, mountain landscapes and the ever changing weather fronts are a joy to be part of, or to watch from the front room. Spending time with the 3 'kids' was the perfect antidote to 6 months of Covid lockdown. To be able to watch Einstein hunting & chasing rabbits, Lugh chasing the sea birds on the beach and having Siog walking by your side was heart warming. They were all well behaved and loving dogs, and keeping the peace between them all was simple by following the rules/tips. Sean & Columbia are such a lovely couple and their pet sitting opportunity is not to be missed. Thank you so much, I would love to return some time soon.
Annie and Josh were simply incredible. From our initial FaceTime chat, to meeting in person, and through our subsequent communication throughout the sit, they were simply amazing. They were beyond kind with both their home and their time, and getting to chat with them for a while before they left for their flight was absolutely wonderful! Seriously you could not ask for two better people! Avery is an absolute gem 😌 Even though she is older and can’t go too far on her walks, she gets SO excited the moment you grab her leash! She truly loves sitting outside in the sun and just bathing for as long as possible. She’s extremely low maintenance, super chill, and our nights just relaxing on the couch we’re so rejuvenating and rewarding. Loved her to pieces and was so grateful for the time we spent together! This sit was nothing but relaxing and I couldn’t’ recommend it more. Just a truly warm and wonderful environment with a fantastic doggo and two awesome dog parents!
