The second time I have had Jenny to cat sit, she is fabulous. I was so happy to leave my cats and apartment under her care. Highly recommended.
I had an okay time at this location. The host was very nice overall. I did struggle trying to connect to the Wi-Fi and unfortunately wasn’t able to connect my entire stay. The host tried to help me connect but it didn’t work. The dog is cute when she warms up to you, but she does have some interesting guarding behaviors. Sometimes she was super super nice and cuddly other times she would show her teeth and bark quickly. It would happen once every now and then. She was a lot more kind than scary or confusing, although when she did switch behaviors it was definitely unexpected. She loved to try and sleep in the bed with me. She’s not such a social dog also, if she sees other dogs on their walks she will bark/try to go after them. She loves humans, loves to be petted and cuddled when she’s in the mood. The apt itself was decently cleaned before I arrived. It’s a very simple ordinary type of place, so it’s good not too expect too much. The host was great in all this.
These dogs are wonderful! Baxter is a big bear hug - he loved to be next to me, just leaning against any body part he could find. And Scout is an amazing dog - smart, funny and sweet to his older brother, Baxter. These dogs are both well-trained and were no trouble at all - they even put their toys back in the basket! They know their schedule and gratefully accept love and attention without being clingy. Jenn and Guy are super welcoming and I felt comfortable with them immediately. And the bed was wonderful - I slept like a baby! I would highly recommend both the dogs and the owners - and would love to come back and visit!
I minded Alma for a week in July 2022. Alma is a stunning cat, quite beautiful. However, she is very shy and wasn't keen on attention. This made the sit very low maintenance as Alma preferred to be left to her own devices. The unit has all the required facilities, and again, low maintenance - so a great sit for going out and about. The public transport to the city was really handy. I accessed trams and trains easily, as well as doing plenty of walks to enjoy the sites of Melbourne. This included walking parts of the Rail Trail, Merri Creek Trail and Edinbrough Gardens. I would be happy to stay with Alma in Northcote again.
