We loved this sit!!!! There needs to be some other rating system for superstars, because five stars doesn’t do justice to our wonderful experience with Penny, James and their home/pets. As first time visitors to England we were seeking the quintessential country getaway, and this delivered above any expectations. I took a crazy amount of photos of this beautiful town! And everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Penny greeted us at the train station on arrival, and we were given a quick tour of the village and then a beautiful home cooked meal which, for homesick weary travellers like us, was a real treat. Penny & James are kind, funny, generous and just a joy to be around. The house is gorgeous, spacious, cosy and easy to manage/care for. All pets were easy, with their own charming quirks. Alfie just loves to be near you and is very affectionate, Millie is so sweet and possibly the most treat obsessed pup of all time! They’re both delightful dogs to have around. Greg is a peaceful and gentle old boy, he doesn’t need much care but enjoys the time when you’re around and loves a bit of love and attention. The morning was our favourite part of the routine - Greg, so happy to see you (and his breakfast), the chickens happily following us around the paddock and the dogs bursting with energy to get out for their walk. There are many great walking tracks nearby, a selection of pubs, and Marlborough an easy short bus ride away with great restaurants and shopping amenities. You can easily do this sit with no car (as we did). The only downside of this house sit was that it finished too soon! We would love to return, and encourage fellow housesitters to apply to sit here if they have the chance. Thank you!!!
Pamela was really kind to us, the house was clean, Kootenai was lovely. Thank you for everything!
We had the very best time looking after Ozzy. We are so grateful to Rebecca and Ben for trusting us to look after Ozzy and their beautiful home. Everything was perfect from beginning to end. We met Rebecca and Ben( and Ozzy) before we moved in and they went over all the details of how the house worked and Ozzy’s routine. The very generous welcome basket which we so appreciated. We completely fell in love with Ozzy - he’s the most chilled and loving dog. He likes his walks and we loved exploring all the local footpaths. We also took Ozzy to the , local cafe for coffee every morning , the pub and walks a drive away. He was fantastic in the car. An absolute delight in public. We would love to look after him again.
Doug and I enjoyed an amazing week sitting for Remy in Albuquerque. Remy is truly one of the sweetest and most affectionate dogs we've met. He's calm, gentle and always ready to snuggle on the sofa or hit the trails for an evening run/hike. Each morning we grabbed coffee and walked to nearby park to socialize with Remy's doggy buddies and meet their humans, a fun ritual for newcomers. After work we'd explore a new trail, running with Remy both off and on the leash. Owners Nancy and Rick were outstanding and generous hosts. They personally welcomed us the first day and familiarized us with Remy's routine and their wonderful home. Nestled in the foothills of the Sandia mountains, it's a stunning location with knock out views, light and miles of trails. Their home is beautiful, spacious and super comfortable, convenient to trail heads, supermarkets and shopping. The fenced yard and doggie doors made the sit even more enjoyable. Nancy and Rick provided us with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, even robes! We kept in touch daily with texts and photos. If you're an outdoorsy dog lover, this is an ideal sit! We highly recommend sitting for sweet Remy!
Sylvie and John are so fun and very welcoming. They left a detailed guide for us to follow. I love this because there is no guessing what the homeowners want. Our bedroom/wing of the home was extremely comfortable. The neighborhood was very quiet and offered lots of great places to walk the dogs. Domino, Marley, Bear, and Stella were so much fun and all full of personality. They kept us very entertained and we got plenty of great dog and cat cuddles. The lanai was perfect for relaxing, studying, and dining. The pool was the perfect temperature for afternoon swims. Sylvie is really sweet and shared photos of their past trips and a basket of postcards from around the world. We were very happy and comfortable on this sit and jump on the opportunity to help out again.
Sitting for Rhi and Matt was such a lovely experience. They welcomed us into their beautiful home (thank you to Rhi for picking us up and taking us to the supermarket) with open arms and made us feel totally comfortable straight away. Hugo is one of the sweetest dogs ever and made the stunning surroundings even nicer with his endless cuddles. Rhi and Matt were communicative throughout the sit and we were really lucky to be able to stay in such a gorgeous part of the world. Thank you!
