We had a great time house sitting for Phil and Meredith. Their place was cozy and comfortable and they made sure we had everything we needed. Nearby town had some amazing restaurants and there was a supermarket 5 minutes walk away. Communication was very good and they were always quick to respond. The cats were adorable and we miss their energy and affection. All in all a great house sit, would recommend
Dog sitting for Autana and Zoia was really nice and fun! They were both clear and concise and very welcoming. She left her apartment clean and tidy and it was easy to keep it in the same conditions. Thomas is a cute and energetic big puppy who loves his walks. He is strong and strong willed and tend to like to lead (sometimes pulls) or to suddenly sit (even in the middle of a street) to show you his preference (like going towards the dog park instead of the museum). He is a big happy social dog and when he sees other potencial dog friends he gets excited and pulls full force so it can be tough on your hands, for this I recommend the use of gloves and if you have knowledge on dog psychology and commands then you will be fine! He is really clever and listens/follows when approached with the right attitude. Once at home he is very chill and naps a lot. So I made sure he has tons of fun in our outings. I will sure miss him coming by my side for some cuddles or just to sleep in the room next to the bed. He is affectionate and sweet I would def recommend this sit if you like to spice up your walking game, he is a great walking buddy.
Linda is a superb host and immediately made us feel at home. I soon grasped the routine after shadowing Linda for the first day. We loved being with the animals, walking the dogs and meeting local people. The hire car enabled day trips to local growers markets, swims in Lac Seilhac, and exploring quaint hamlets. We became very fond of Elmo and Brisca, the two collies, and enjoyed hanging out with the goats - who provided endless entertainment! If we visit this region of France again, I'd love to re-sit. Thank you Linda and Derek for sharing your home with us and allowing us to experience a beautiful part of rural France.
What a lovely big casa surrounded by palm trees, plants, big trees and birds. I could do walking laps around the casa with the dogs. This was a super comfortable and easy house sit in the “blue zone” of Costa Rica. Laura & Chris were so kind & picked me up at the nearby bus stop. They gave clear instructions for all four pets & any house duties. They also offered lots of local area info. After dropping them off at the Liberia airport, they let me use their truck while they were on their trip. What a great bonus! I checked out a few things in Tamarindo like the local farmers market. I was able to use Laura’s desk for my online work & she let me borrow her podcast mic-thank you! All three dogs had completely different personalities of course. It was fun to play with them & get to know them. Got my doggie time in for sure😎. Daisy, the cat would sleep a lot & disappear but understandable in the hot & humid climate there. I would recommend this house/pet sit to other sitters no matter which state or country Laura & Chris might be living in.
Wallace and Otis are a joy to be with and very chill. They are both affectionate and friendly and Emily and Leonel communicated really well and the place is lovely.
Being familiar with Great Danes, we were excited to meet Charlie. But we were so overwhelmed by her sweetness that we would have dognapped her if she fit in our car. She tells you exactly what she wants, and what she mostly wants is to cuddle. We were in absolute heaven. Oh, Sherry and Scott are nice too. We thought of buying a home nearby just to be close to the family. 100%
